Why is there no save function for this game so that people don't lose their progress? According to the badges I earned, I completed SIX modules. Now they're gone and I have to start over? This is neither fair, nor right! Devs, please add a save function!

At first, I played this a lot similarly to how I played Motherload, clearing an entire straight line from where I was to the surface and conserving just about everything. It's not that efficient. Honestly though, resources, except for iron, aren't a problem and it's easier to just buy 10 of each consumable. At first, use the artifacts to go back up and throughout the game remember to farm iron for endgame. Changing planets also automatically refuels you while setting you back to full health!

At least with Cooling 4, you can go to a 250 Level Glacier, start searching for the planet's 2 lost artifacts at level 160, 20 levels at a time.

@werdbooty you can buy more teleporters in you ship, go to modules, craft them in the bottom left called emergency transponder

A piece of advice: if you are looking for some raw material, simply select a celestial body that has this resource. You won't find lava on glacial worlds and titanium is only found rather deep so good luck trying to find any on small asteroids. You can only find one type of gas on any planetoids, the type of gas is connected to the planetoid size. Check the resource description to see what is found where and how deep.
Tip: deploy your teleporter to a place that you can come back to (preferably deep), you can use it as long as you are on that planetoid, unless you deploy another. They can't be reclaimed or moved once deployed.
Tip: Never fool around with dynamite unless you are empty. You will eventually blow yourself up but then you won't lose the resources you just mined.

@Firechanter: On most temperate and volcanic planets, if you down a bit, you see small puffs of green gas coming out of the rocks. Just mine the rocks, and sometimes you get vespene gas of various sizes. I think you get amaranthine gas instead on glacial planets.
@hempick: just look on the minimap at the bottom left corner of the screen. Artifacts look like small red blobs. On the main map, they look like cannisters with black and yellow stripes. Once you grab one, you learn a new recipe, and can levitate up to the surface. It usually takes me less than 5 minutes to find one on each new planet.

game is great and all but has a cpuple of problems, first, while the music is great...it only has 2 tracks and... a long period of silence between each. second, crafting, that thin is unintuitive, , why not let one get back to the previous crafting, because there are some that are made of several components made of several each, so one has to go every single time trhough the whole process just to craft a single multicomponent piece, (go to tab, then to part you wanna craft then to the compoennt then to its components then its own components and so on every single time) is frustrating

Has it really been almost four years since I completed this? Wow. º_º Either way, it's always such a treat to see a game I loved to bits get promoted as BotD. ^w^ Even if time seems to indeed have not been all too kind on the story videos' functionality...

I've searched this planet high and low, as deep as I dare go (one Cooling upgrade), but I can't find a single fart of Vespene gas.

What do I do if I can't get the video to load, but when I hit EXIT from that screen it just brings me back to the beginning?

Am I the only one who thinks that the easy badge should be an impossible badge? I've tried playing this game at least 10 times and I still haven't found an artifact.

@killer_byrne you can combine smaller chunks into larger chunks. You might need to dig up one of those yellow canisters to do it. check your "research" screen. combine the gemstone shards into giant gems the same way.

Can someone explain how to get sizeable iron chunks? They are at level 100+, yet I can only reach level 50 due to my temperature maxing out, but in order to upgrade cooling I need a sizeable iron chunk!? What am I missing, please.

Nice game: 5/5. Just two things to change: 1) Create parts for upgrades is long, maybe create a button for create the upgrade directly, if we have all the materials. 2) When an artifact is discovered in the column of the refule/repare zone, it will be impossible to refule or repare in this planet.

Thought I had finished this game, turns out I played Glean 2 only. Much fun. Except the crafting of the late game components, that was horrible clickfest, been done better in part 2.

I agree that the Loading Video bug is quite disconcerning to have, but compared to yesterday's BotD game which didn't even work 95% of the time, this bug seems minor in comparison. The trick is to not press ESC but instead click on the "Skip Video" button in the bottom right: doing that shouldn't incur in any other bugs (or at least it didn't for me).

I've completed the tutorial, but when I try to load the galaxy map, all I see is "Loading Video... If the video does not load, press esc to close the window.", and it's not possible to proceed past this point. Does anyone know how to fix this? Also, once I press esc, none of the movement keys work. I have to open and close the Items screen to be able to move again.

There's a bug: It's saying I should click on "go to galaxy map" but when I click the button it opens a video. It says if it doesn't load press esc. When I press esc the "go to galaxy map" is not clickable. How can you make this game the badge of the day if it has bugs? And by this a severe one.
