The game overall is nice, but the upgrading prices should be changed: upgrading a tower is really expansive and the bonus is often far too small to gain a real benefit.
Also, I think the 2nd wave on mission #9 is bugged, it is too strong for your "standard" weapons, unless you replay that mission much later when you have A LOT of money to begin with.

The requirement for Expert seems to be that you have to send all the waves almost immediately. Very little strategy involved other than grinding out upgrade points.

first of all im not a big fan of tower defence games but i do like gem craft and monkey td and i must say it is not the worst td ive seen but it is getting borring fast in my opinion

Towers damage/time/cost ratings (and ranges) are: basic: 50→48→51→52→51(80-120); fast: 36→38→48→60→73(30-50); super: 80→68→80→96→126(80-100); multi: 11→10→10→12→14(90-150!); poison: 125☣→75☣→56☣→45☣→36☣(90-100);
Nate that Fast is too weak and Super has bad d/t/c on lv2.

some tips combined, plus extra: 1st. WAIT with buying upgrades! Buy 2 at once (e.g. 1st upgrade costs 5, next 10, buying 2nd at once only costs 10!). 2nd. Timeconsuming, yes, but REPLAY lvls over and over for extra points!! 3rd. Place Fast and basic towers, then pre-start everything!!! Buy basic towers as soon as you can and place them strategically (in corners, on doubling routes, etc).. even if you fail a mission, you can earn a few points. Good luck ;-)

I've never known a tower defense game NOT to have some form of splash tower, but I suppose that would make an already insanely simple game even simpler.

Someone mentioned to avoid 35 and instead go for 38, which is agreeable since I was also able to beat 38, but how in the world is 33 possible? Pick a corner and bomb it.. ok, great, except at around 60% through the wave the numbers drop and I'm losing cash with each bomb, and can't figure out how to make enough to get the Super higher than level 3..
To hell with 35, 36, 37, 39 and 40!

Just set a Poison and a Slow tower right at the entrance and watch the tanks slowly die to their death. just to make sure, add a couple basic/fast towers at the exit.

Past me SUCKS. I played this game ages ago and got 29 achievements. Twenty. Nine. I had to start completely over to get the 30th. T_T
I mean, not that the game isn't fun, it's just that it takes so long to get the achievements.

i hate games that punish you for using your upgrade points. the price should decrease once you buy previous stat slots
