I'm glad someone finally portrayed the tedium of piloting an alien death machine. The media always makes it look glamorous, but it's hard, boring work. Day after day slaughtering the same meaningless waves of humanity, but everyone thinks it must be a ton of fun.

In response to Xagran's comment, in the book the tripods could be taken out with a lucky hit by canon shot, which makes some sense as their armour is heavily optimised against their own tech and probably haven't seen use of kinetic weapons in centuries. The point in the book is that tripods are nimble/fast enough so that you only ever get that one shot, so most kills mentioned are from ambush situations.
But enough of the book, nicely done game :)

I wish there was a way to like buy your own mini tripods and build your own army and u could get their profit as well as your own and also you could have alien ships that fly because its not fare that the military gets all these flying thing and you're all by yourself.

Played this so long ago, never imagined it would get badges. Glad I can get the aliens quest badge in the first level though, not worth playing all over again.

I think there should be small arms to capture humans.I also noticed the small baggy thing. And why do some of them have handguns to fight a big alien?

Amazing game but you should stop the timer when you get 100% wave/round completion because theres 2 extra seconds of waiting till the "you ended the round!congratlations!" thingy pops up and stops the timer.

Ahahah, it's a funny game, too bad it is kinda short, like most of games of this sort.
4 is perhaps a little too much, if votes were given on a scale of 10, I would have given it a 7. Despite of this, I wish all games were at least at this level :)

soldier: commander the tripod is comming closer, what shall we do? commander: send all units to charge forward an attack the tripod, and if that doesnt work just add more men and cars. soldier: but sir wouldnt it be better if we surround him instede? it only seems to have one ray gun, and why cant we just finish him of with a nuke? commande: dont talk back to me! just charge forward!

Kind of boring, to be honest. Apart from choppers, shield-draining tanks and jets, the gameplay stays identical from level to level - the numbers just get bigger. What the game needs is upgrades that actually modify the gameplay, not just bigger numbers. Even the visuals stay the same, regardless of how much you upgrade.

I apologize for not realizing how easy it is to beat the last level in under a minute. Don't block the lazer and just keep hitting the mega tank while it's vulnerable. If you upgrade everything this works amazing.

There should be a button to change the games picture quality because some of the later levels cause my computer so much lag from the number of explosions I almost die instantly.

Definately just glitched your game XD clicking the upgrade button right after the game start button will open the options menu during the game u just started.
If you want to prove your stuff start 2 waves at once ;) Good luck everyone.

A fun little time-and-human-killer. Final boss has an issue that makes it ridiculously easy to beat under the 1:30 for the time limit, though. Took me around 1:11 to beat the boss, and then to 1:24 to mop up the remaining enemies. Accidentally let myself get EMPed. Moral of the story is, "Be careful how much power you give the ray radius."

The funny is that the laser of the Laser Tank (HUMANS invention) reduces my shield to zero in a few secends, while mine can't break it's shield. So the point is: HOW COULD THEY !?

Where is the history behind the invasion? I will like to see more history in next chapter, and some information about the new creatures that will appear on that day.

At first this game made me wonder why everyone seemed to think the tripods were so unstoppable in the books.
Then I remembered that this was only one tripod.
