I didn't mind the game some much, but my computer hated it. So just for the fact I couldn't play this game out, even with graphics low to off. I couldn't give this more than a 2.

hm, doesn't make sense when you aim at a helicopter and hit a tank below it, the game should have something for that, like press space so the 'head' of the tripod goes down and can damage ground and press space again to lift it back up for air.

I can imagine a conversation between the Secretary of Defense and the army: "Sir, there appears to be a massive alien tripod attacking the world. Its only weapon is a frontal beam, and it seems to be susceptible to regular bullets. Instead of hitting it with missiles and most of our military strength, I propose we simply send our army in waves and attack only the strongest part of the robot!"

medium badge: get all the upgrades and then fire at the tank when its culnerable. screw blocking the laser, thats what armor s for.
2 attack episodes and its down. 0:38

"The tripod is attacking so whatever happens, dont drive and attack it directly, just slowly reverse and shoot, Private!"
"But Sir.."
"REVERSE SLOWLY AND SHOOT!"

To Win Level 15 within 1'30, first max all upgrades and then focus ray on Boss only (shoot other ennemies only when Boss enter its invincible time)

since you can always replay previous levels for cash, having repair restore such a small fraction of armor seems needlessly irritating....

in some way they are able to generate an intense heat in a chamber of practically absolute non-conductivity. This intense heat they project in a parallel beam against any object they choose, by means of a polished parabolic mirror of unknown composition, much as the parabolic mirror of a lighthouse projects a beam of light... it is certain that a beam of heat is the essence of the matter. Heat, and invisible, instead of visible, light. Whatever is combustible flashes into flame at its touch, lead runs like water, it softens iron, cracks and melts glass, and when it falls upon water, incontinently that explodes into steam

Level 15 is not so tough. There is a couple seconds delay before the big boss starts firing, in which you can reduce his life by more than a third. When his shield goes back up, take out the other attackers. Have faith that your shield can survive their attacks (and sometimes it's faster to let a demolition truck hit you than to hit them). Now level 14, that wasn't so fun. But it's eventually manageable. However it's the blasted accuracy achievements that really had it in for me. Oh 77%, why do you plague me so? How can I improve my accuracy? Continuous fire? Nope. Carefully picking off targets? 79%! D: Gah. So I sometimes half killed someone. I still hit him. That counts for something right? >.> Although it's pretty impressive the injuries the little soldiers must have, and yet they keep walking forward like it's nothing.

*EMP fires* "Sir! Our shield is down!" "Fire our energy ray!" "Hey its working!" "Thank gawd for EMP immune energy based weapon arrays!" "We should requisition shielded electronics for our shield too."

1. Cool menu is cool. Unfortunatelly I found it only while reading comments...
2. I wish ability for my robot to walk and smash those stupid humans with legs...
3. Imho loading is slow.

it's about 1:01 for the level 15, just focus on the boss if he is not invulnerable (max radius and damage), you can get it for 3 rounds. Hope it helps

This is one of the worst games I have ever seen. I like the idea and you think it would be pretty standard with its gameplay. Well it unfortunately fails to impress me. The biggest problem I have with this game is the recharge timer for if something gets depleted. You sit there and think "Oh, so the penalty for letting something empty is that I can't use it while it recharges". Only to realize a second later that the entire time something is "Recharging" it is actually just sitting there useless. As soon as that timer ends your shield or ray has charged absolutely nothing. I can not stress it enough that if you fire immediately after the ray "Recharged" or get attacked as soon as the shield "Recharged" they are now recharging again from 0%. I suggest getting ray and armor upgrades over shield as when there are enough enemies on screen your shield will be worthless.

Am I the only one to realize that the only logical way for the Tripod to gain money for killing these humans is that after the level, he collects the remains of the people and vehicles and sells them on the Alien Black Market?
Also: "Sir, our RPGs and Tanks seems to be doing much more damage to this thing than our rifles and Hummers. Should we use our resources to build AA Tanks?" "Ridiculous suggestion Sergeant, it's only been a couple days. Just send more SUVs and foot soldiers, with a few regular tanks and helicopters!" -On the 5th day- "Sergeant, send out those AA Tanks now, but only a couple. It's only the 5th day of this invasion, after all. We mustn't be too hasty."
