I noticed that it helped to start with an area that would require using three colors and then just go from there and fill in the color that doesn't match a surrounding color.

i beat it and i was sad that is was so short... and the easiest way to win is to use one color first and put it every where it can without touching another, and do that repeatedly with all the colors

It would be nice to add a function that shows where you have made an error when you have filled all pieces tho, it can be quite hard to find the error sometimes..

This is why math is useful, kids. Mathematically, if you alternate colors, four can cover any shape you design, because you cant have five shapes sharing an edge.

a bit too easy =/ random guessing gets through 90% of the levels. The ones it doesn't just have to have a couple pieces swapped and its there. Nice idea though.

great game. it just gets kind of annoying if you stare at a computer screen for an hour trying to figure out why you dont have gold. 5/5 even though i have a headache now :3

Agree - classic game based off the 4-color map theorem. would love to see a sequel with some more intricate maps and yet another smooth jazzy tune to play it by....and maybe a bonus system when you solve a map with less than four colorts

It was mathematically proven that you will never need more than four colours so no user level can be added that will need extra programming

i think there is a purpose for everything in the world, and this games purpose was to make me and other people on kongregate have a great time playing it. i loved it sooooo much :D thank you so much for making it (:

The game is good, but very very easy: I could make a method to start painting from somewhere and then that was enough to paint everything.

also get some badges like : easy 5 points, get to level 7 :medium 20 points, get to level 15: medium 25 points, finish the game.

the graphics were great and i found the music to be so relaxing,although you should make a harder mode for the people who like a challenge and an easy version for the people who are new to puzzle games altogether. Having 5-7 coulours would be great and instead of putting the colours at the top, why not put them at the side for people like me with small dell netbooks and other crappy little computers. Like 09Kisame09, i was very content with this game and i wish you the best for yourself and i have a feeling this game will go very far!! 5/5

If you're going for gold, start with a block that is touching at least two blocks that are also touching each other. You'll end up having to color each one of those 3 blocks a different color. At that point, you can usually "force" a solution by looking for empty blocks that are touching 2 colors.
