Was pretty good allthough i had to find a stupid walkthrough because i had no idea the necklace was right in front of the door. Silly me i guess. o and did the whole peter steele thing have any relation, i find it pretty ironic the primary suspect has the same name as the guy on my tag.

nicely done on the storyline.. well played and thought out.. its basic yet complex thinking, just like a P.I. great job 10/10

cool, interesting game but too short and too easy.. i only had one thing i got stuck on, when i took the bank key to the bank i kept clicking the key on the right drawer and it would not open.. then i realized you have to click that drawer first, THEN click the key on it..

I like the concept and plot of the game, however there needs to be more equipment :/ for example, fingerprint tape shouldnt be used for blood :S it makes no sense :s maybe things like a UV light could make it more interesting too, there arent many games like this that go into forensics in great detail. Maybe a sequal concentrating on forensics would be interesting :) other than that good game 4/5.

That was deep and well thought out. I didn't use any help and made it through fine. The story kept me entranced to the very end. Outstanding job. A resonating 5 from me.

only thing that stumped me, and a hint for you.... the tape can be used to sample blood. Otherwise, not too hard, but also not too fun with shoddy controls. 3/5 for a good effort and a nice way to kill 30 minutes while sitting at work.

very...intriuging. it was fun to play, a little annoying at times, because of the "not knowing what to do next" feeling, but it was awesome

Finished the game, but the clues didn't really seem to match the ending story. I don't know if I just missed some (if that is possible) or it was just badly written. Okay overall though, 3/5.

If your 'rude' to young miss, you can still get the information you require by inspecting the tread marks by the third house, you don't have to restart.

I laugh at the small/tiny minded people who can't give this game a chance longer than 5 mins.Who then rely on a Walkthrough to hold their hand through this pretty epic game.SHAME ON YOU* Click - if your tiny minded. :P

The last part where the bullet went right through the guy into the girl was pretty cool. AND the last part was scary how you say, "And we still don't know who the girl was."
SCARY!!

really gets boring after a little while. barely possible without walkthrough and even with its hard and annoying. me no like

Good game, nice art. But it can be a little frustrating at times. Took me a while to figure out how to dust for prints. You could have told us to use the brush on the dust and then use the brush on the thing we want to check. But even then it's not always easy. I tried to dust the necklace and couldn't until I saw just the right spot on the walkthrough video. Similarly, I didn't know that we could (or had to) combine leads on the board in order to make progress. Navigation was also sometimes difficult. It wasn't always easy to tell which places you could go. Even the walkthrough seems to have missed the fact that you can check more than one place on the girl's body (not that it makes much of a difference). And I spent ages trying to figure out how to get to the outside of the window before giving up and realizing that you inexplicably couldn't. I like the plot, I like the idea, I like the method... but it definitely has some flaws.

This was an interesting game. However, it was marred by a few points.
First, some of the choices during conversations were not clear.
Second, while the music you used is good, it started to get boring as I heard it again and again. At least the ending had different music. But some more variety in the music would help.
Thirdly, a manual save function would be useful, especially so that if you make a wrong choice, you can go back.
Finally, a link to the previous game wouldn't hurt, as for some people, this is the first time they have dived into the SotC games. In fact, I didn't even know this was the second game until I looked at the "about" section.
But, it's nice how you implemented a walkthrough function to help those who are stuck - and having Tass do a walkthrough is a sign that the game is better than the sea of poor games we normally get.
So, my final rating for SotC: Golden Doll is a solid 4/5.

Great game. More difficult than it should have been to figure out the controls. Fingerprint tape for blood samples? Who knew. Also, it was a bit difficult to figure out where you were supposed to click. All in all a very enjoyable game and I look forward to more installments.

Really like the Noir style of this game. The ending seemed a bit forced and rushed. Don't listen to the critics that the controls were too hard. I liked that you actually had to think and combine clues to unlock new areas. Well done 5/5

there are few puzzle games i play without a walkthrough but this was sooo good that i had to finish it by myself. such a great puzzle game. needs badges though

the ending kinda made me lol. i got all that just from those clues?? wow i'm smart! :D
at any rate, obviously peter steele's blood type should have been o-.

this game was good, i liked the art and the atmosphere of the game. I have the same complaint as others. it's not intuitive enough that things can be combined on the lead board and definitely not enough that it can be done more than once. also this game can be played pretty much as a guessing game instead of actually paying attention to what you're doing. I missed some things because the arrow of your mouse just looked the same as if i was to leave the area instead of picking something up. dusting for prints was very hard to figure out as well. but i'll say this game is better than a lot like it on this site so well done!

Honestly, it's very sloppily made. A lot of mistakes, annoying errors in gameplay, and especially the ending. It's all handed to you. Why can't you check the other house? Why can't you go behind the crime scene? Why can't you get the apartment owner's fingerprints from his doorknob? What do you do with all the clues you have that are important, but still red herrings? There's a lot of pointless junk on the leads board that should have an important place - like who the gun belonged to instead of instantly telling you who, why, and where.

I've never seen a game like this before (besides the whole point & click 'room escape' layout), and I'm extremely pleased. Great art and a very satisfying atmosphere. 5/5
