The game was quite good, the artwork is quite amusing and the storyline keeps you interested throughout the gameplay. I didn't get the badge either, but it didn't make the game any less fun.

Unlike donteatacowman (who played the sequel first), I played this game first and loved it. For some reason, it's sequel "A Grain of Truth" is under the ones who actually wrote the story/game (I suppose the "created by" name was the publishing name?) Anyhow if you loved this game as much as I did, check out A Grain of Truth by mrudi and RudowskiMarek.

For all that are interested, here is a connected game: http://www.kongregate.com/games/mrudi/a-grain-of-truth?acomplete=a+grain+of+t
I'm not sure if this is a sequel or a prequel, but Myosotis is in it.

I just realized I missed the "Broken API" message for this game. To anyone who's going after the badge and wondering why they're not getting it, you have to report the missing/broken badge and send screenshot proof you completed the game.

May I ask how to scroll up and down in the stories or conversations? I can see the up/down arrows, but can't really scroll using either my mouse or keyboard

Charming interactive tale you've wrought here. Full of ambiance.
A fairy tale within a fairy tale.
This is really a wonderful way to tell stories, not a novel, not a comicbook, not a film - but it's own thing.
Full marks.

I keep coming up one puzzle piece short, even after resurrecting the man. You see, there should be an icon that says, "Deidera's identity", but it won't appear.

This is why pastel games makes the best point and click games, their detail, storyline, plot, and many others contribute to a great game, and this game has all of it 100%

This is a great game, it has beautiful artwork, music that fits the scenery perfectly, and point & click mechanics that aren't frustrating (major plus). I loved how you found the story in bits and pieces, much like the way a real story is created. 5/5, and again i must say, beautiful work.

Another bug: If you accidentally click the exit button when the amulet or bottle are in the process of being dipped, the items are lost.

@ drachefly, you need all the other pieces of the story first, he just gives you a piece (usually the last one) once u have all of the pieces you have the story and can give it to the mayor

I had to restart after a game breaking bug. On my first play-through I was just exploring without asking about Derrida. Once I then started asking about him I got the right replies but I did not get the center piece of the story (the portrait of Derrida in the story book).

Glitch- if you click away during the animation of the potion bottle scooping up the potion, you can't finish the gam.

This is an awesome game, very good art and nice music too, 5/5
needs fixing(and tips for future games): a few grammatics aren't right and the screen is a little too big.
Thank you for a great game and i hope you will continue this story.

Maybe if the game fit the damn screen...? As it is I can't stand playing it. In my Firefox browser the game window doesn't fit.

Nice game.
The only problem I had was that the game field did not quite fit my browser window, so I had to do a lot of scrolling up and down.
Still, very enjoyable. The artwork was lovely, and the point where I only had half the story in disconnected pieces very haunting. The ending was sad.

Not difficult, but I was engaged as a gamer throughout. The art and story were fantastic. If there's anything negative to say, it's that the scroll bars didn't work so well, but that is it.

Truly an amazing game. Interesting story and the game play was easy enough that you could beat it without the walkthrough but hard enough that you didn't feel like you were playing a game for small children. Everything connected well so you didn't have to just try and randomly click everything and combine everything with no idea of what you are doing like some point-and-click games do. Good music; even with only one song playing the entire time it is a good enough song you don't even really notice that it is repeating. Great artwork as well (though I will admit there were a few pictures where the main character creeped me out haha). I really hope there is a sequel. Good gameplay + good music + a story you actually want to hear the rest of = Best game ever

I experienced a glitch: I resurrected Derrida, and he said "I will tell you my full story", and then the screen faded black, but I did not get any items from it. I checked the walkthrough and you were supposed to have gotten an item that represents his story. So I have to go restart the game now...
I like it though so 4/5.

Great game, great visuals, and great music. It all blends perfectly together. I would totally enjoy another adventure of hers. :) 5/5
