Under rating threshold (show) Nifty and cute. The theme's there, but I'm wondering how voters will respond to level-by-level evolution for the enemy: is it going to be innovative enough to sway people? Don't know, but congrats on a well-executed complete project, and best of luck at LD!

Under rating threshold (show) NEEDS diagonal shooting, a way to get health back (defeating enemies, finishing rounds, pick-ups), mute and pause button. Super basic and not very entertaining, especially without the mentioned above.

Under rating threshold (show) Nice games jam game - you should build on this, add more enemies and maybe an upgrade or evolution system. There was quite a nice curve but it would be nice to see later enemies doing different things (lasers?). Good job 4/5.

Thanks. :) I did have some plans for player upgrades too, and more enemy variety, but you can only do so much in 48 hours. Right now I'm thinking I will work on an improved version and add more features like that.

Under rating threshold (show) why is called "Box vs Nature" is the "nature" are experiments? what kind of nature is that?

Experiments? I guess you might look at them that way too, but honestly the fiction of the game isn't really well developed. :P The point is, you're fighting against rapidly evolving natural organisms. I suppose describing them as lab experiments might make more sense though given how the game actually works.

Yes, I agree. I ended up not having time to implement player upgrades in the 48-hour timeframe. I'm thinking about continuing work on the game and adding that stuff to the new version.
