Best game on here. Very fun and difficult since I haven't played these type of games in a long time. Brought back a lot of memories. Can't think of anything else they could have done better besides more levels. Thanks guys. 5/5

Part of what made it so good was the "labor of love" the player him/herself has to go through just to BEAT it.. Thank you for giving old and new gamers alike the opportunity to feel that truly unique feeling one only gets, when beating an NES game.. That special mixed sense of pride, adrenaline, happiness, and accomplishment.

I ran the zelda level with 0 lifes, almost beat the last boss(Spoiler: when he transforms into 3) and died, just like in the old days, start at the beginning of the dungeon but I didn't have a compass or map. If you're starting a level and have low lives, the game encourages you to kill yourself to get more.

TIP:NEVER use the rage move against the old man's second phase while there's a bomb on the screen,it will crash the game -.-

It's sad how the latest generation has no appreciation for this style of game, when really it has all of the components of a good game that the classics possessed, length, challenge, simplicity yet depth and simply because it's not another well detailed, upgrade laden monotonous grind it won't get the credit it deserves.

when you are in the balloon part, dont expect you can kill AMAZON, you only need to survive, the part where you can kill AMAZON is when you are in a wrestling match with Amazon.

This is really awesome. It brings back all the childhood memories of playing on NES and genesis. To the team that made this, a huge thank you and i really hope to see more of these games 5/5 :)

On that note, for those who comment "bad graphics", and there are more than there should be, you really do not understand where gaming as come from, and how cool it is to see a game in our age emulate what we used to have. Probably will get rated down, but at least I put my opinion out there.

Best game ever! Love the wizard and warriors references. Mega man was bad enough especially with quickmans stage but then you throw contra on top of it and I don't remember little mac being so damn tough, usually he's the one getting knocked out.

Hard to appreciate this game, unless you grew up playing these games. I especially enjoyed the Legend of Zelda levels. Sucks that most of the young kids on here won't rate this the score it deserves.

Protip in zelda level: At the old man stage, destroy the 4 crstals then attempt to kill him, he'll split in 3 and just destroy him, now he turns into a giant, he ALWAYS follows this pattern, ALL DIAGONALS, ALL SIDES, FALLING ROCKS. its easy to dodge making it easy if you know this.

To SolBandgus: The Meat in the Zeldabobo level serves two purposes: One, it increases the damage you do with your attacks, and two, you need it for the 'Meatspin' acheavement (did I spell that right?) where you take down Old Giant with it. Also, the Newgrounds version of this game has Badges, so I'm sure Nintendo won't mind this site having them as well...

This game reminds me of a simple time. A time in which your enemies would slowly blink away and disappear after you killed them.

Pure nostalgia and hilarity. For those who haven't tried, climb the pole just before the boss at the end of the first level for a surprise.

Why aren't you playing this! NES memories matched up into a Double Dragon's character! Reminds me of the great NES back then!

Even though i was more in the snes age of nintendo this still brought back wonder child hood memories. Age 6 juice box and nes. Not only did i love it from the get go, but when it transitioned between some of my favorite old games (megaman, mario, ect.) i squealed like a little girl.... 5 stars and a favorited game hands down... well done....
i also agree i would have paid 30 bucks for this back in the day
