There should have been breaks in the game, between the levels, or something. That way the story line could be presented in a more understandable way, wouldn't distract from the game, and wouldn't make me feel like it's one ongoing, infinite, endless level.

The upgrades are awful, the graphics are minimal, the game is way too hard at the beginning, and yet I still find myself wanting to beat the game. The fire rate upgrade for the "Ultragun" doesn't seem to do a damn thing, even with three or four upgrades I'm still firing a rate too slow to hit anything reliably. The drone repairs only seem to work when you're not fighting (which rarely EVER happens). The dialogue skips many lines at random times, so in the off chance that you get the chance to read it, you miss half of what they're saying anyways.
All this aside, it's a good first game and I'd love to see a sequel. 3/5

desperatly needs hotkeys and battle music. also, when you're in the middle of combat you need to be able to actually read the dialogue without diverting your attention away from the enemy. 3/5

The text at the prologue and epilogue are too difficult to read, and the character chat during fighting doesn't work because it's DURING FIGHTING.

kongregate doesn't allow enough characters for me to list the numerous ways this game could be improved. the overall isn't too bad, the storyline is good and the only reason i played past the 50 kills, everything in between the story was excruciatingly boring, it's a fast paced game running at about a quarter speed... so if ya do make the sequel, PLEASE give us gameplay speed options.

i realy like this game, i just wish the mobs entered my view more often :/ its kind of a pain to just shoot blindly at arrows

I don't like this game you cant even read the storyline aim is pretty bad fun concept tho if they make a second I will definitely play it, but for now 2/5

An excellent game. Nevertheless: main gun is a bit slow; too much waiting time between waves; the ending is a bit of a let-down...

Would be so much better if you had your ship's health at the top of the screen...then you wouldnt need to scroll back and forth to check it. OK game but a bit repetitive...autofire needed. desperately.

I gave it a 2. It has a lot of potential, but the gun aiming was a bit off and it would have been more fun to be the small ships than the stationary one that you only have gun control over and that you are often not even seeing because it is off screen. Add to that what people have said about ships being out of bounds, storyline happening when you need to fight, etc. and you'll know what needs to change to make it a 4 or 5.

Please could you stop the noise, I'm trying to get some rest (8)

There needs to be a pause between levels or at least when the story is being told so that we can read it without having to keep an eye for enemies; or at least save all the storyline text in a log which we can see by pressing 'L' or something. Rated 4/5. Waiting for the sequel.

I felt like half the battle was off the screen. why is there a limit to the playing area where the ships fly 'out of bounds'.

Funny how the game has a great storyline, and then just ends with a big grey screen that pretty much says that "Everyone died, the end."

Have now played. The game seems OK but the central mechanism of firing the gun isn't one that's enjoyable to me. It's just lacking in immediate feedback and clear signals on how to improve.

Sorry, I've yet to actually play but the game has already left a terrible impression. The font you use for the intro (and new 'game', 'options', etc.) is a bit hard to read. Elegant and nice for a title but unsuitable for blocks of text.
That futuristic low-width font looks awkward with the font on the top, which looks like something from an amiga game thanks to both font and colour. And the bubblegames logo on the lowerleft - I understand you don't control your sponsor's logo but it just further exacerbates the issue of mismatched fonts.
I think you should have found a more readable font for the intro, a better matched title font and been more restrictive in your chose of colours.

This is one of my favorite games the creater of this game has created a masterpiece! I by my nature would state problems and things that would make the game even greater if added but i will not for this game is to amazing for that! But if the creater of this most amazing game does not make a sequal he will be shunned forever! WHOS WITH ME!

Finally beat the game in hard mode... something ill surely never ever do again :)
-Requires huge amounts of luck and patience.
-Only safe turrets are middle and front back. Back turrets are kinda useless. Everything else will get destroyed.
-MUST max main gun at chap 8.
-2 fighter bays with 2 fighters each are enough. Upgraded hp, build rate and damage on both once, helps a lot with such overwhelming constant ganking.
-3 laser turrets in middle and 3 flaks on front back served me well. Upgrading range on lasers early on can help keeping the fight away from the carrier. UPgrading shards and damage on flaks worked really well on minefields, but NOT range. So they focus on mines and asteroids, instead of fighters off screen.
Good luck :)
Game is really cool, wish there was a sequel.

There is a way to get infinite amounts of fighters:
1) create 4 fighter bays with max fighter numbers and build rate
2) Wait for all 12 fighters to be produced
3) Sell all fighter bays
4) Repeat steps 1-3 until you have as many fighters as you want.
You will however need a lot of money

nothing quite as epic as watching your ship that's fully upgraded with lasers mowing down the enemy ships, its like watching a star wars battle scene.
