ANOTHER game the worked PERFECTLY with Supernova but won't even START with Ruffle!
WHY the F*CK did you stop using Supernova, which WORKED PERFECTLY, and FORCE us to use something UTTERLY WORTHLESS?!

Wait... Why would they go out of warp... To look for a jumpgate, at the start? Why wouldn't they just keep warping to wherever they have to go, instead of assuming by some crazy hypothesis that the jumpgate(which assumedly would only shoot them into warp speeds) would get them there faster?

I know this is an older game but i still enjoy it.Is there any chance of you making a second story line and another game?If so i'd like to see the ship in more battles where we are an unexpected support unit in a losing battle plz.

SEQUELLLLLLL please :) I keep coming back to complete this on hard even after getting the badge ages ago. It's so incredibly addictive. Also, I was actually interested in the storyline.

I thought my experience with hard mode was kind of interesting. Not sure if this is common for everyone, but I had the hardest time towards the beginning, when the ship started off with nothing. Once I got well into the upgrading, however, the later chapters were moderately difficult but nothing like I had to replay a chapter 15 times to get past it or anything.

One of the best games and story on Kongregate. It has action, good graphics, replayability and it's free!! I just wish the developer would have finished the sequel. Truely a fantastic game that keeps you involved, thinking and planning every minute.

All previous strategies are wrong. To beat Hard mode, build a flak cannon near the front of your ship (but far enough back that it doesn't take damage, for example the 2nd mount point in the line of four). That will kill all the annoying small ships you can't hit because your aim sucks. THEN upgrade your main gun and repair drones.

Wait. so. Ok first: SPOILER ALERT. Alright so in the end, all humankind is screwed anyways? and the only evidece that we ever eisted are two AI? Eh. I had to say. you kept me guessing abot the storyline. Never before have I played a game quite like this. Thanks for givin me a great time. 5/5

The hardest part of the game is the beginning, not the end like it should. The beginning doesn't have the bonuses that you have at the end. I think the hardest part in the game is when there are 2 capital ships, as well as one ship that builds four fighter ships at once (Around the end of chapter 3) and after finally beating that area on hard, I lost my progress and now I can't even beatr that one area no matter how much I try. I'm giving up, it's not like it's an impossible badge... Sorry, this is just not worth it.

SPOILER ALERT! http://www.pirongames.com/blog/2009/06/orbital-decay-story-transcript/ So all the enemies were humans raised and commanded by you from the past. You get to the past by destroying the you from the you from the past that have a JumpGate onboard. so it explodes and makes a vortex that sucks you in, taking you back 15000 years, with no humans to control you. So instead you raise the humans to the evil ARU you fight. Then the Future you comes and you want to have a Godly showdown, and you die, making a wormhole to send them back and become evil again..repeat repeat repeat

i really like the retro title letters that say "orbital decay" now....what i have to say this game is good but when you do a "dhort jump" the stars should streak bye and stuff also it needs more turret types and maybe the ability to set your fighter bays to make different types of fighters

Have now played. The game seems OK but the central mechanism of firing the gun isn't one that's enjoyable to me. It's just lacking in immediate feedback and clear signals on how to improve.

Great game. Love the concept and atmosphere. Too much happens offscreen, expecially vertically. Minimap would be good too, maybe as a purchase. Needs a fast forward for repeat playthroughs.

Really hard to follow the story line. And why would a ship "push on" simple because "there is something intriguing about the enemy"? I got my badges, at least.

i hate when you want to kill a turret on enemy but you deal so much damage that all of the sudden it tilts downward and you aren't hitting the turret, otherwise good special effect

Wow, incredible! If any of you guys had played YPP before, that is what i mean. As for those trying furiously at the hard badge, follow the walkthrough link. But don't expect it to be any easier, lvl 1-4 are still the major bumps you'll need to pass before flying straight to level 10.

You can enable the cheats. Read back in the comment list and you will find them. You do not have to be on bubblebox.com to use them. Kinda sucked though that I deleted this page's cookie the hour before the achievements were added. Thanks alot Greg you had terrible timing (no offense but not losing a turret and survivng to the end on hard is like being master chief without weapons or his shield or high health and fighting a brute chieftan with a gravity hammer)

During most of the game,a weird robotic voice was chanting "You have no chance to survive make your time".
After that,when my ship blew up the voice said "All you base are belong to us".

There should have been breaks in the game, between the levels, or something. That way the story line could be presented in a more understandable way, wouldn't distract from the game, and wouldn't make me feel like it's one ongoing, infinite, endless level.
