It has a lot of potential, but while playing you quickly realize this game is very very boring! I wanted to rate it higher, because It seems it should be fun, but sadly I was bored out of my mind

OMG THE ROCKETS ARE SO GAY but other then that a preety cool game. i just got the card so im excited but unfortunatly i need to go to bed so cant head for the badge XD
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Great game! But once you get the thing you want, like the badge, theres nothing else to do, and you can't just quit, you have to kill yourself. Good game though. 4/5

i like the game but.. i have a question >.< at almost random parts.. the bullet thingers go directly through my shield.. i don't understand!! =( but otherwise i like this game =)

This is the only game that I can think of that is harder at the beginning than at the end. In "General" mode, if I can kill the level 10 boss, it is guaranteed that I will finish the game. Unfortunately, I am only able to finish the L 10 boss about 70% of the time. It's the antimatter Shield. Some have said it is overpowering... and on easy mode maybe it is, but as the game sits, it is essential on captain and general.
This is the Bonus Upgrade order I use...
Interest
Antimatter Shield
Interest
Heatseekers
Interest
Exploder
Interest
Inferno
EMP
Missile Shiled
Ballistic
Fireproof
Resonant
Generally have Energy Infuser maxed by Level 35.

Pitch... As the person holding the "High Score" for general , I think maybe tuning easy mode up a little is appropriate.
I like the idea of having different bosses.
I have never killed the last boss (on General) before the timer ran out... is it possible? Has anyone killed the final boss before the timer ran out?
One other question... Is there an exploit for the game? ChubbyWeasel has what seem to be impossibly high scores on Seargent and Captain.
Anyhow, cool game. Thanks
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Pitch, I would add an "(easy)" next to Seargent mode, as it seems a lot of people were expecting the level of challenge more consistent with the normal mode of other games. Besides that, great game. I beat it on Seargant and plan to beat it on General when I have time.

Good game
It's boring at first, actuly it only starts to get fun at lvl 31.
The game has lot's of potential, but it's way too easy.
My suggestion is to make the tanks independant of each other, the way it is now the tanks are waiting for the last shot to arrive before shooting again. When shooting the tanks are taking turns aparently at random. This just doesn't make sense.
Maybe if you set a fire rate for the tanks then you would be able to include enemies in the screen in a way that the shots come very close to each other forcing the player to make quick moves that make the game more fun and interesting.
Then you put a background music that fits the tanks fire rate and I bet you get a very good rating.
=)
Anyway congratz, good game and the graphics are good enough for a defense game.
Keep up the good work, I hope you can make use of one of my suggestion.
PS: I don't get the interest system

Sergeant mode is really easy, but the other difficulites are good. More variety in the enemy tanks and bosses would make it a very enjoyable game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Hey, Picthmobile, thanks for developing the game: it's fun, man =) !
And about your question, I would make Sergeant a bit more difficult and General a whole lotta Hellissh Nightmare... if you know what I mean ;)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I enjoyed the game, played til level 47 in sergeant mode. I don't think it was too easy since I wasn't able to finish the game. It's not a game I'll play again though, I've seen it now.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions, guys!
One question, though: I've noticed that none of the people claiming the game is too easy has actually finished the game in General mode. I did design Sergeant mode to be easy, after all. I'm not trying to be snarky or anything, I'm genuinely curious: should I put a warning on Sergeant mode saying it's easy, remove it altogether, or really ramp up the difficulty on Sergeant so that it's closer to General?

it was a great game....i just wish it wasnt so easy. i played for atleast an hour and got nothing out of it...but i enjoyed it in the beggining. same old bosses.

sticky shield should weaken the shot by the amount of time held so a 3 power shot after 2 secs becomes a 2 power shot of something like that
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Fun, but not enough to keep me playing. I like the physics and the music, and the sticky shield is fun to mess around with. But it feels a little clunky. It looks good, though. Hope you can iron out whatever isn't working and pin down what it takes to make an addictive game.

fun game, but too easy. the final boss could be bigger and meaner. you just keep your shield pointed at him and he kills himself on it...

I love this game, but it as lot of room to improve. It needs to be more fast-paced and the difficulty need to ramp up faster. I got to lvl 32 of 50 and I've been playing for almost an hour. Way too long for a get-in/get-out flash game. But a great effort overall, thanks for the fun. :)

I don't think the concept works. Not only the thematic (the army setting looks beyond dumb), but the gameplay itself. It's too simplistic, gets old quickly, and the upgrades only make it worse.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I like how you keep updating the game, just wish I didn't have to restart every time... oh well, good things come with a price.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I thought it was pretty cool. If you wait to upgrade the right things, you can get pretty strong pretty quick. "2 very enthusiastic thumbs up!"
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I like the upgrades, but they got really repetitive by the end. I think another version is in line, but with boss fights maybe branching upgrades (choosing one path of upgrades could lock you out and force a specialization...) Anyway, I think it was a fun game overall. Four stars.
