one of the most beautiful games on kong, just like the company of myself.both are really touching and actualy make you think about life.and as Indy5000 said, this is about:Why?Why do humanity always ruin their lifes on war and other social problems?

i get the concept and its a good game and all but am I missing something. Like I said it was good but I dont know if its one of the best art games out there. Not to be cynical, just saying.

This was a really touching game to me. I accually cried. People need to stop taking all this sad depressing things and make horror stories that people ENJOY. We need to be more openminded and stop DEMMANDING all this horrors. I really like the way the alien from the other galaxy HELPED and SAVED this family, not like other "KILL THEM ALL DESTROOOY" games. That was a good game :,)

Army guy: hey look some innocent people walking around... let's shoot at them! Who cares if they have a huge alien three times our size protecting them?

Wow this made me cry. Its just the story plot, think about it. A alien came down from outerspace to find some friends and the stupid government has to be in control of everything so they kill it. If this game dosn't give you a soft spot in your heart I dont know what will.

I remember when this game first came out it really seemed to me to be one of the first major flash art/philisophical games, at least that I played. Of all the ones I have played none of them match up to the beauty inherent in this one

Wow. This game is one of the best I've ever played. Much as the top comments are saying, it IS very moving. It also brings back memories, which while that isn't good or bad, it is a complex thing for a game to do. I'm definitely rating it 5/5.

Eh, I don't really see any message at all. First an alien lands in an unmarked spacecraft with hyper-speed evolution and growth, yet has no actual useful body parts? Then the little girl picks up this gross looking squid thing that just fell outta the sky? And finally, this game isn't about war between humans, it's about the government trying to destroy a giant alien! What would you do as president? I'd nuke the bastard!!!

Dang. The world needs a Protagonist Support Organization. One can only take so many armor-piercing artillery shells. Save a hero: Join the SPO Today!

People who say that this is boring, just go away. The idea is amazing, and yet tragic. The alien is even better: it gets larger when shown kindness, but droops a lot towards the end.

Yeah, those like indy or COTN must be correct, because on any game site they only ever have one category of games, 'thoughtless and primitively violent' right? Or maybe the explanation is that some people don't find the message behind this game all that novel and as a consequence find it boring as, aside from the message and artwork, it doesn't have much to offer. Although it's well made, and the message is a positive one, there are plenty of games out there that are meant to convey a message, and in many cases the it's more profound than this one, AND they pack much more actual game into it. I gave this a good score, but clowns acting like 'OMG! If you weren't entertained you must be a shallow, mentally deficient caveman who just doesn't get it' need to realize that just because *they* aren't used to utilizing that thing that their skull houses and find the prospect new and fun, not everyone falls into that category.

beautiful, tragic, a story told with no words, a narrow minded man would say it is boring, a man who has an imagination could see the story, thus, let those be haters, and allow us few who see meaning to appreciate this wonderful piece of art.

There is an alternate ending. When the family dies except the girl, she will stay instead of running away from the dead alien.
