I found this game really damn corny and in-your-face with its message (WAR IS BAD WAR IS BAD WAR IS BAD WAR IS BAD WAR IS BAD). Really, we don't need to be told this, we already know all this.
However, the mechanic of not being able to do anything but shield the family was actually a cool idea. I could see this work as an actual game, but it's wasted here.
2/5 for aesthetic and the soundtrack.

War is constantly tearing us apart and this game helps us to realize that.. Think about the middle east currently if you will. It's being ravaged for a sublime army of guerilla fighters. Not all Iraqi's are evil and sadistic like we make it seem, just those who misinterperate the Qu'ran. There are families over there near death (the family by the orchard), the combatants both terrorist AND armies (the military forces), and then there are those who try to say that we should stop and look this over. (The alien who fought to protect the family fromall anguish by sacrificing himself). Beautiful and utterly tragic..... 5/5

Interesting Game, Makes a difference to the norm, And i think that you yourself, as in the Alien, Is the shield, there is no button, you have to put yourself in harms way to protect the one's that accepted you

This game is more like a piece of art than a game. I like blood and gore in games, but all that gives only little bit of arousal, while "Immortal" and games like it make you think and feel...

I have to agree with Sheepy, here, rather than Arcran. Not to mention that the name of the game and the badge for "winning" also suggest that even as it died to save them, it will live on through the connection and memories it made with the family.

So beautiful, a slow, plodding game with a drone-like, ringing song and a palette of blacks and whites to show us, only with the help of an innocent third party, the true damage that we are doing to ourselves. 5 stars.

Acran, are you sure he's forgotten? It says "Live (Forever Immortal)" wouldn't that mean he is eternal in their memories?

A game with a beautiful yet sad storyline. The thing about this game that made me really sad however, was it's game play. I felt more like I was watching a bad movie as opposed to playing a good game. The slow rate at which the character moves, along with the lack of levels, made this game dull and somewhat forgettable. I believe the game would of been better if you were able to play through several levels, and die an inevitable death at a final boss while saving the family. I feel I could never recommend this particular game to anybody, but believe the game has a lot of potential. I hope to see games with plots that are similar to this as I continue to enjoy my time on Kongregate.

This is a very beautifull game,yet sad.This game is about an alien who is hostil to Earth yet he risks his short life for 4 of his new friends.I give this game 10/10.very sad indeed.:(

they could have made leaving in the spaceship more sad by makeing it so the soldiers came up the family puts their hands in the air and then they get shot

This really makes you take a second look at games like Call Of Duty. I wish there were more games like this. In the end there really was no meaning to the killing and trying to destroy the alien. Infact If the soldiers were to hold their fire for 1 second there wouldnt have been a fight at all. Its short but, this game was about the meaning rather than anything else.
