I wouldn't say the aliens forgotten if you look the main achievement's called lasting memories, and the end of the game is the little girl and her mother crying over the aliens body. The mother leaves then the little girls stays as long as she can but they have to get out of the cold and away from the war zone. Thus with tears in their eyes they reluctantly leave. and the ending says "(live) forever immortal". i think its saying that the little girl will never forget what the alien had done for her. that way he'll forever live in her memories

This is the saddest game ive played.. The poor girl has her whole family killed and then is left with the alien, wounded and then it died and she was sad and never left the spot the alien died. Truely touching.

Such a beautiful story. Nearly brought tears to my eyes. :'c The thing I find tragic (yet sweet and emotional) the most, is that the alien turned himself into a living shield to protect his new friends..
The only games until now I've found meaningful and touching is this one, The Company of Myself and Coma. Haven't tried out Loved or Don't Look Back out yet... Hmm.. *search*

wow. a game made for the sole purpose of making people realize how under-evolved we are, and there are STILL people who think that this some BS "hippie" game. You know what? maybe you should think about something: we as humans aren't even technically mammals, all other mammals on this planet have learned to live in a constant equilibrium with their environment, but not us, we choose to destroy it for own materialistic gains. I.E. we suck. So all of you that simply take this game at face value, you are worse than apes, because at least they know how NOT to annihilate everything they touch.

5/5 For allowing slo-motion when we're being targeted by multiple enemies. Also, I wish there was some sort of command button that would tell everyone to huddle up and stop moving around so much..

Well, you guys mentioned everything about it, but did you notice, that the alien slows down more and more as he gets shots?

At first it was a game full of feels for both the family and alien...after both parents and the boy dies and the girl survives, she start lagging behind while I rushed forward. I saw those soldiers completely ignore the little girl lagging behind and shot towards the alien. So then I'm all, "This family all died because of me."

I just realized that when the game slows down the alien is getting rushes of adrenaline so it can save the family...it really cares about them...truly beautiful.

This game made me sad. I felt like I experienced an extremely interesting story, with a lot more feels than a three minute game should be able to pack. As i slowed, and looked more worn out, I slowly became more sluggish myself in real life. This game was probably the best flash game I have ever only had to push to buttons for

I've just realized something: the entire game is just an analogy, a metaphor even, for discrimination borne out of fear. Think about it. Why else would someone try to destroy something that they don't entirely understand? Because they're afraid of what MIGHT happen. What the military figures thought MIGHT happen is that the alien would stomp all over them, but they're too blind to see all it wants is to protect it's friends.
Everyone fears change to some extent, and that change may be gradual, or sudden, but unexpected nonetheless. Even so, there are some (like the family) who embrace change (i.e. the alien, the word also means "outsider"), and those who would seek to prevent it by any means necessary (the army), and thus, creative sparks are extinguished before they even have a chance to ignite (even in the line of duty). This game perfectly captures that feeling, and I love it.

There's a second message to this game that seems to have been missed. After protecting the family all I could, I went back and replayed the game - but this time I only looked out for myself, and let them die. I still died in the same place - but this time I was alone and unmourned. It's only through helping others that our lives -and our deaths - can mean anything.

"This is a beautiful game. The mere aspect of it, a girls extra terrestrial friend protecting her family from their own kind. Such a beautiful and moving game. I don't care what all the people have said bellow, all they want is violence and endless onslaught. This is definately getting a 5/5 as the idea and beauty of this game is amazing. It's also a real eye opener, of what we are actually doing to ourselves. Bravo!" I Think the same. 5/5. Hope this game changes ideas.

In all of thy hearts is an alien and each of them has a life but there is evil everywhere and thou may fall victim of the endless hole of darkness. i just made that up because that sounded right for this game... so beutiful no bloodshed no violence this is as beutiful as the silver moon light.

i cryed at the end it was just so beutiful it says to me that if your are kind in the hardest times in life you will be repaid in a way that you need the most (in this case protection) even thou the alian never even knew these people they were kind to it and he repaid them in protection ;-;

the story is really touching. i love how for once, it is not blood, not TD, but saving humans. i cried how at the end when imortall dies, the girl stays.

This has a lot to say about pacifism and love. There isn't anything to add to love that other people haven't said, but just imagine. If the alien fought back against the soldiers, the family and the alien could have lived. The soldiers have families as well, but who says that theirs are more important than his? Sometimes, the best you can do is have everyone look after their own.
