seems some are broken, and if you get it correct it just freezes, saying it is brooding (I doubt it is, as it takes way too long)

It said the robots were built in error so I have to build a machine to fix it, but in the last bonus level "Metatron", I have feeling it was not constructed at all......

I've finally reached a point in my CompSci degree I "get" exactly what this puzzle is. Might even be a useful tool for studying.

I couldn't solve the last level, Metatron for 3 days. I used so many blocks, and the board was too small for me. Finally I gave up, googled the walkthrough, and I realized I was the dumbest dummy all the time. The walkthrough did not even use half of the entire board. How embarrassing.

I like the game but the goals for "Androids!" level is poorly explained, and the solutions doesn't even work for inputs where Blue < Red (e.g.: 1*Blue followed by 2*Red)

So, if the malevolence engine can completely deconstruct my designs, then why don't they us the malevolence engine instead of me?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For "Androids" the blues must come BEFORE the reds. For "Officers", you can shrink the binary string. Only the VALUE must increase by 1. But you can't leave yellow or green in your string.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@KadenV8 The instructions are pretty clear. You must look for 2 blues followed by nothing. You can do this using 3 branches (blue/blue/empty). If you hit extra blues you can loop to the last branch, since it's OK to have more. If you hit a red you must loop to the first branch.

Probably the hardest puzzle game I've ever played; it makes me feel stupid. 4/5 mostly because the tutorial was a little lacking (example: I thought you HAD to enter branches from the back side, but any side will work), and the presentation/music/UI could've been better. Also, the screen randomly flashes sometimes, which is probably bad for epileptics (Chrome).

Great game, woefully underrated. The game itself is fully self-explanatory, but I do agree binary does not belong in a game like this. The developer did well explaining binary considering he only had 1 page, but it was still not enough. Long story short: the far right number = 1, and every number to the left of that = 2x the number to its right. examples: 001=1, 010=2, 100=4, 011= 3, 101=5, and so on- I hope this helps!

How are you supposed to build an algorithm for something when you don't even know what the goal is for each level? 1/5 for this cow dung "game".

A wonderful game. I am somewhat puzzled, however, by why "alternating colours" only accepts no colours or single colours. I managed to figure it out with help from the malevolence machine but is "no colours" or "single colour" contradictions to "alternating colours" unless otherwise stated?

I love the fact that some of the solutions I come up with are so inefficient that the malevolence engine is like "Eff this I'll just assume it works."
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@yash92: You need to take off one blue and one red on each iteration of the loop. You'll need to find a way to "remember" where the beginning of the input is each pass.

this game is unbeatable, i did a solution exp. LVL 2, i did the if more than three blue and it gave me B,B,R,B then i changed the third part to red and it became B,B,B

This is amazing. I was stumped on the second level. But then as if the heavens parted and god shoved an encyclopedia into my esophagus it hit me twas not difficult at all but I had to think outside the box. so thank you creator for creating something that has indeed made me feel like a genius.
5/5 10/10 favourited and would play again!

How do you even do the levels, every time I change the level to account for what I got next it changes the string... why game
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Never mind, I found the walkthrough and get it now. I thought that you could only feed it in at the top, not back into the side it came out of.

Am I overthinking Robolamp? What if there's a string of 100 reds, and then 3 blues at the end? Is there a length limit?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
"Hey, that lava lamp was fine."
"How do you know?"
"It had 3 blues."
"Who are you to say what is right? Since I am the only (and most senior) tester, I am the leading authority. And I think all of them are bad. "
"Bu-"
"Shh..."

I just noticed that there actually is a statistic "time units per test". You can see it in the "Success!" screen after completing a level. This should have been shown on the main menu rather than "Best time" in my opinion.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think that the "best time" statistic is trivial the way it is presented. The malevolence engine could create something that would take a very long time to check no matter what you've created and that would be your "best time". For example, on the third level, "Lavalamp", the engine gave me a very long series of red and red only and at the very end of it three blues in a row. I felt like this was meant as punishment, but it wasn't logical, as any working setup would have had to go through that whole series to come to the conclusion that it's alright. It would make more sense to have the statistic "highest decisions/time unit" than "best time". That being said, I absolutely love this (kind of) game
