IMPORTANT HINT: You can pause/unpause a lot of times to help avoid bullets. (but remember: you still can't psas directly through them).

The reason why ivod said to use 8 cannons and 1 rocket is because the game only fires one rocket launcher per enemy. For waves of enemies, you will fire all rockets. The boss counts as one enemy, so only one rocket launcher fires, therefore you get more damage by using 8 cannons.

Actually, I can grind money faster on stage 5-5. I don't always survive but the boss's swirl attack makes a truckload of coins when he's defeated.

I just got the impossible badge easier using 9 rockets, 3 power boosters, 3 advanced targeting systems, and 1 absorption panel.
To afford this, I grinded for money on stage 5-3 by staying at the top of the screen with 3 magnets, and quitting before the boss. My rockets took care of everything.
I'm using Chrome zoomed in to 125% to make bullets bigger and easier to dodge.
Firing SO many rockets during secondary fire also lags and SLOWS DOWN THE GAME making it easier to dodge.

Bug - if you pause the game after defeating a boss, it can be impossible to resume. On moving the mouse back to the ship after unpausing, the mouse vanishes and the game remains paused.

I don't normally enjoy bullet hell games, but this one was actually pretty enjoyable. The inclusion of an easy mode may have been a strong factor in that - slow bullets are a great way to introduce people who are still getting to grips with the genre.

G'daw, 2 away from the impossible badge. Surprised I'm having a lot of trouble of Area 4 stage 3 but I could do Area 5 stage 2 (that was some insane Touhou shit right there).
But yeah the comments were really helpful, got much farther then I ever thought I could get. (I'm have 7 missiles at the moment and I could get an 8th). I'll give the impossible badge another go later. Sometimes the lag bites me, but I'm glad that it's not constant. Also the sometimes the charge shot gives you a blissful slowdown. That plus the bullet eater (emergency device) was uber helpful for area 5 stage 2

lol you haven't seen some of the other impossible badges on kong have you? this is actually one of the easier ones @_@. though mostly because of ivod's awesome advice. :D

I've never seen a more frustrating game. After 6 and a half hours of playing, a broken LCD monitor, several accounts of heart failure and a brain aneurysm, I finally got the Impossible badge. I've never been so relieved to be done with a game in my life. 4/5 Cause I literally danced like a moron when I beat the final boss.

@Shortsword: I'd say yes, since the game is called frantic, and ivod's comment in the Best Comments section says to use kamikaze for the Impossible badge.

I like how the 'scraping' changes the approach to dodging bullets. You still don't want to get hit but there's a tangible benefit for getting close.

Just a note: guys, you can move up and down as well as side to side! May sound stupid, but I failed the first level three times before I figured that out.

so im doing ivods trick...and theres not enough slots in acces for his start? i have 3 over drive 2 absorbs and 2 power boosters but no room for the third power

Two things that need serious improvement. 1) Lag is a serious issue. You need a way to adjust the quality. 2) Any enemy I kill at the top of the screen is a ton of money lost. You need to have only the bottom portion of the screen destroy money, and then only when they have left completely. Otherwise, there is little point in killing things on the edge.

The "Frantic" series are the best bullet hell games I have played so far. It has an awesome soundtrack that really suits the gameplay. The neon bullets "frantic's" got goin' there not only helps you incoming projectiles them but looks great as well. The upgrades do make a huge difference, unlike some games...ughum. I do still prefer "Frantic 2" though.
Get comfortable, and (maybe) zone out (or rage if you prefer) as you play FRANTIC 3.

Scraping is when you scrape your ship near enemy bullets for bonuses. It's risk and reward. Now MY question. How does the "Emergency Device" work?

GOT YOU, YOU LITTLE BASTARD!
There should be a warning for that impossible badge: 'Warning: Lots of wasted time detected'

People keep saying 'Rocket Launcher' in their advice... is that the 'Missiles' or the 'Particle Launcher'? Because I see no 'Rocket Launcher'. Also for ivod he says put 8 upgrades on the Interceptor but it only allows 6?

This is a bit irritating I have killed well over 500 enemies yet I don't have my badge. And yes I've submitted score and everything.

ivod's comment was really helpful, and I was able to get the impossible badge following his advices. However, as I racked up money try after try, I slowly started replacing cannons with rockets. In the end I had six rocket launchers, and the last boss seemed easy with those. I recommend doing the same, given you can get your hands on the enormous amount of gold needed (shouldn't be hard, since you'll be retrying over and over).

What I'd like to see added would be some stats and more weapon info. I'd like to see the damage, fire rate etc of the weapon I'm buying and also what exactly I'm getting when I upgrade a weapon.
