well, despite the hitbox being just a dot, i suppose it wouldn't be an impossible badge if the game had a level select, would it? (bugger) oh, well. lol.

i looked at the game screen for 3 seconds, scrolled down, and went to type this review. graphics are bland and there is too much white space on the screen. i guess the developer skipped design 101 because presenting something that appears mostly blank is a bad idea. gameplay is just a generic scrolling shooter. nothing special about the mechanics used. music is actually pretty good. after typing this review, i scrolled up to rate this game a 1/5, but noticed that i was on a shop screen. i somehow beat the first stage without actually doing anything... even without playing a small part of the game, this experience leads me to believe this game is stupidly easy. 1/5 there is no challenge, no originality, no good presentability.

I beat 5 without the 30+ damage. I racked up enough power-ups to do a little bit more damage than the adrenaline beam attack.

Idk about you, but Stage 5 boss was really fun. Beat it on first try, no pause buffer, and full adrenaline tank. Nice game, though. Despite the name, Frantic is actually very relaxing and I can lay back and sip on some hot chocolate while killing about 3 enemies every 1/2 second. (I drink hot chocolate year-round. Idc) Low quality works well with less capable computers and can still put together a smooth image.

Tip for the Badge: You can rapidly press the "p" button to pause buffer, and you can control your movements much finer that way. really helpful to dodge Stage 5's boss

Would be lovely to have an option of fighting every boss on every level to get some practice. For the badge, I have to watch Tass' playthrough of the game to study the attack patterns of every boss. Game's still cool though.

It's one of the more fun versions of this type of bullet hell games. It seems easier than other iterations. Still, after a while it gets repetitive.

Man I'm bad at this game I can't even cheat XD
I played twice and didn't beat it then I tried as the 1st ship (highest damage) since I didn't really like the shields anyways. I noticed when you pick up enough upgrades it shoots behind the ship so I would play until I got that upgrade then go hide in a corner and when the boss came I'd just get above him and sit there which worked at first.... but a few bosses later the game had me figured out and would teleport me directly in front of the boss and insta kill me XD

Question: Why have a badge involving you not getting hit if you can't replay levels without starting the whole game over? 3/5 for poor judgement.

Not colorblind friendly, or maybe the contrast of some enemy bullets is way too low. Actually not friendly in general, since I was shooting so many bullets I couldn't see the enemy bullets regardless. Medium and impossible badges? More like impossible and impossible+ badges.

Mouse is so much better than wasd in this game. Just some games it's a bit more even. You move much faster with the mouse than you can with the keyboard. There's also no way to switch after you start.

"THREE LIVES? NO CONTINUES? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?"
But seriously, dying to a stray bullet by the final boss and having to play the whole game again sucks. I thought we had collectively realized erasing player's accomplishments is a bad game mechanic (unless done on a much smaller scale like in rogue-likes) and also having as far as I can tell no invincibility frames and a standard full hitbox in a bullet hell game is a big no. Game is from 2008 so some of this can be excused, but why kong thought this needed a badge of the day in 2017 i can't imagine.
