Dying or trying to return to the main menu from options isn't working for me, even after disabling FF's built-in tracking protection, HTTPS everywhere, etc. Seeing a few other recent comments, I wonder what everyone in those two groups has in common? Is it a Firefox issue? A specific-verion-of-windows issue? about:config setting?
I guess the first question to figure out is whether anybody has the game working on Firefox, and whether anyone has the game broken on other browsers.
(after writing the above, I tried using the flash right-click menu to navigate between scenes. Going back then forward returned to the main menu, and future runs remembered collected petals, but the count on the hat page remained 0, and I didn't see any badge progress, beyond a bit from many years ago. Which reminds me, perhaps the presence or absence of old data affects playability, too. For comparison, I don't believe I had save data on this PC but do have old high score/badge progress)

They never check to see if the BoTD works. I've had this happen several times with games that are outdated and don't work because of Flash or something else that makes the game obsolete.

Thankfully, you can still get the badges even in offline mode. Otherwise, Kongregate should double-check which games have BOTD to ensure they work.

NOPE, this one runs the load screen, but then when the load is completed, it freezes. What's the deal is there a place to click that is hidden?

The game got BotD because you can still play it and earn the badges in Offline mode. You're just competing with yourself instead of others. We managed it LAST time it had a BotD in April...

I guess it's a good thing I already earned this badge back in 2012 since the game is "offline." Why is this a badge of the day if you can't play it anymore? Doesn't make sense.

Hi everyone!
I've started receiving bug reports that Edmus is no longer working, and my first thought was "My god, people are still playing Edmus?!" It's been almost exactly seven years now, and I'm really honored that a simple flash game managed to live that long. Especially since Flash itself was supposed to be dead by now!
Here are some quick thoughts: If people love it this much, I'll bring it back. But not as Flash; it'll be HTML5 or WebGL when I reincarnate it.
It might be a few months before I have time to re-create it properly, though. I'm currently working on a very different game - one that's been actively leaking all over the internet for the past several days. =)

Developer, a very unique and well put together game. A few ideas to enhance game play for gamers: 1.) Either shade /color one's individual Edmuses, to make visibility more outstanding? 2.) I noticed there was an absence of music and FX, was this on purpose? (It is nice when developer's add relaxing music), in my opinion! 3.) Another option for pleasure when playing is in-game achievements, just a few. Possibly in a sequel to this game! I think you did a marzvelous job and I will give you 4/5 stars. (room for improvement). -Marz

I see some of you saying badges can be retrieved, even with server issues...but it's not working that way, for me. It tells me I have to play offline, and then the flowers are not adding up, and the screen freezes, when I die, and I have to refresh the page. Upon doing so, I am back to zero with no progress, at all.

One thing is for certain. It takes a special kind of game to make me regret getting upgrades. But this one does it for sure.
There is a point where your jump height and speed are more of a detriment than a help.

I tried this game earlier, and was greeted with the message: "Nuts. We're having trouble connecting...", so, thought I'd try later, and, nope, getting the same thing. I guess the suggestion to "play offline" won't get today's badge for me either.

You can still play offline, without connecting to the server, and one would hope that would still work for the badge. (I can't confirm as I got the badge back in 2011.)

It took my third run to start having it count getting any petals, and that was the run I got the medium badge, so I had 1 upgrade in everything and about 30, 40 more petals unspent than it said my cumulative count had earned.

Why is the medium badge easier then the easy badge? Answer: Easy badge can be collected for player who commit many errors while making 1000 meters in row will depend on player's ability which if he do not have, won't be able to achieve easy in second place. Do you understand this?

J'ai bien aimé ce jeu. Il n'est pas ni trop facile ni trop dur. Comme beaucoup de jeu de ce style je m'en lasse vite, mais le faite de voir les autres joueurs de la journée sur l'écran donne envie de faire mieux.
Niveau badge c'est la rigolade. Celui medium se fait bien plus vite que le easy :-D. Il faudra jouer moins de 15min pour les avoir.

I can also confirm I got the badges while "offline". I believe the server it wants to connect to was used to show other players' runs (ghosts) while you're playing. The game is still reporting progress to Kongregate.
