Great, solid game. My only complaint is that in the beginning it's hard to tell where the walls were, although it's quite easy to get used to.

failing mission = losing money & XP aint cool. The coin magnet should be stronger. Better more upgrades than these special weapons... They ain't very helpful. Upgrades should make the player feel more awesome. Just some impressions, I could never prog such a game :)

Super game; wish there was a map function...but that's really quite trivial compared to how great the gameplay is. The need for a larger map function is just my RPG instinct kicking in.
The next engine of the game will support huge maps. The black screen some ppl are getting is because of that. Flash player have a limit on the size of bitmaps and it adjusts accordingly. Ty.

I really love this game. Prexen, you are awesome. It seems a lot of shooter/upgrade games don't have any real feeling of upgrading, or power. I give this game 5/5, the only thing I would want to see is more variety of upgrades/weapons. Other then that, top notch! Whoever is rating this game at 3 or less stars is crazy!!
Means a lot to me quentin. The only issue i have with adding more and more is the size(swf). Since everything in the game is animated each weapon or legs takes 100k or more depending on the ammount of frames it have in the final swf. Those can add really fast to a big swf.
Rest assured that if i made a gare2 or something it will have a lot more.

it is refreshing to see a developer be so responsive and willing to work on fixes. no game is beyond improvement, and prexen recognizing that earns a 5 in my book!
Thanks allen. I try my best to keep up, but with the front page and all the ammount of responses im getting is starting to become impossible to reply to all.
Means a lot.

Like the music, like the evolving curve, nice design too with a flaw (from my point of view) : I think there are too much bitmap graphics. More vector graphics would make the ambiance more TRON-esque.

Bug report: the third-level sniper cannon remains locked even though I've bought all of the rest of the weapons and completed the game with all stars. I don't know what caused it. I can probably email you the save file if you can't repro.
Hey, its cool to give players the option to dig in the game and find those things. Even tho that can be imbalanced, using the slow in mission 9 is priceless. See all those bullets doing "zuuuuuoooomm".

Reminded me of BattleTech during 90s. Although the mission variation was good, you could go progressive that is having 3 minor objectives then leading to 1 final objective that will always have a boss fight. Still, it's great. Difficult to a point but great.

Very fun. However I wish there was a more comprehensive map. You don't need to show us where the stars are or anything, but it would be nice for "M" to be hotkeyed to an actual map, perhaps highlighting my exploration path Fog of War style. Otherwise, some of the bigger levels I just wander around for ten minutes aimlessly.

I'd actually love to see another GARE game. Another GARE game with even more stuff like levels, mechs, and all that yada

It would be cool if i could change the color of everything. got to love the ability to pick your fav color. (black on black now what =p)

I like the game, but I don't like having to grind levels I've already beaten to get cash and levels. Maybe consider giving partial cash/exp for a level failed?

Just completed the game. Awesome game. Definitely needs badges. Thx to kaiwoklaw for leaving a comment about the +2 stat. Really helped out. Awesome ending. I quit shotting and just started smashing. Loved leaving little blue robot parts everywhere, lol. Hope there is a sequel!!! If I could rate this game as a 10, I would. Thx again and keep up the good work.

This is a great game. I especially love the aesthetic style of it, along with piloting a giant robot that shoots lasers. However, I have one, minor problem with it. While I love how specific the upgrades are in regards to stats, the sheer amount of information, especially with the weapons makes it hard for me to tell what I want. If upgrades had names (e.g, rifle, machine gun) that had to do with their stats, it would be much appreciated. 5/5

I really like the visual style (neon glowing wireframe blueprint thingy, probably too much TRON in my childhood) of the UI and the game itself.

lovely game, only thing i can fault is that some things aren't explained well, ie:the radar seems to do nothing at my current lvl but show direction of objective (hull lvl 2, assuming the sensor meter is radar)
The hull increases your sight range (how the camera position itself in the game giving you more vision in the direction you are facing) and affects how enemies get activated. The radar only tracks objectives.

game has a nice feel to it, 4/5 for now. for 5/5: Could improve on upgrades (more stuff with bigger differentiation in playing style), balance weapons (e.g. minigun is too strong, sniper rifle doesn't pack enough punch), ability to customize the probe. Sniper rifle is bugged in my game too (max lvl doesn't unlock). Don't like being insta-killed by mechs walking into me (with a boss, fine, but I also get killed by some of the cannon-fodder running into me). Also, make it bigger (the game that is)

I can't buy the last tier of the cannon (rifle) even though i bought the previous three tiers. Sorry I should of clarified in my last message. I think it's a great game though. Reminds me of the old Mechwarrior cartoon where the Clan mechs had that 3D tech even though everything was just wire-framed CG.

This game is so much fun, the visual style really makes it a 5* game for me. Also, is the level-up music from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon? ;-)
Wow, that was far. Dunno Olrod, i dont play/watch Pokemon at all. The level up sound was inspired by something zelda, cant pinpoint exactly what, but was from there that i took the inspiration.
Checked, and im not experiencing any of those problems you reported. Maybe some of your cookies settings arent set right or the size of the .sol needs to be adjusted.

A minimap would be super helpful, to show at least the parts you explored yo you would not be afraid of running ... crawling in circles.
Problem with mp at this point is, i have no idea how to code it :) , right now im working on a desktop version of the game, and another project. Depending on how the desktop version goes, i can try to make mp a reality (either co-op or pvp).
