Very much enjoyed this game but I ran into a serious issue. When I try to play level 7, the screen blacks out and stays like that. I can't progress any further.

Awesome game, really enjoying it. The one main critique I'd have is that, with levels taking as long as they do, retaining nothing of the experience or money you've gathered if you lose is very frustrating. After spending 10 minutes clearing a level, only to die when run over by a boss, it's not fun to have entirely wasted those 10 minutes.
Maybe the way i treated the failing of a mission is too harsh. I tried to maintain xp / credits but that proven to make the game too easy.
I could not find the balance in a toll of xp / credits per death and decided to save the stats only when the mission completes successfully.
Noted for the next build of the game. Ty.

Great game. Just one hint for the Intelligence Bureau. our Artillery Officer is a spy. The one and only thing he hits is the planet. Honestly. The enemy keeps hitting me with no exception and i can call myself lucky if my artillery strike hits something.
Hey, its cool to give players the option to dig in the game and find those things. Even tho that can be imbalanced, using the slow in mission 9 is priceless. See all those bullets doing "zuuuuuoooomm".

The easiest way to beat lv 7+ - have the fastest legs equipped. The special reloads faster than it runs out ... this allows you to have the absorbing shield up all the time (so you take no damage).
Also, there needs to be a better explanation of what the lv 10 3-star bonus does, if anything.
No, at this point that star is there for flavor. (not everything in the game is +stats).
Maybe on what ppl say here i can implement some gameplay feature for it on a future build.
+ i hope kong will implement badges in this game and the finding of all the stars will go there.

If I had to make a complaint, it's that the upgrades don't really change your appearance as drastically as they could do for bigger visual impact. Perhaps having each tier of upgrade be a different colour could feel more rewarding when you purchase them.

Grab armor and shield boosts when they are full and receive a permanent +2 to the stat instead of heals. + if helpful.
Someone is def paying attention to the game :P
To complement what you just said, doing that also increase the regeneration rate of the stat you raised.

This game is so much fun, the visual style really makes it a 5* game for me. Also, is the level-up music from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon? ;-)
Wow, that was far. Dunno Olrod, i dont play/watch Pokemon at all. The level up sound was inspired by something zelda, cant pinpoint exactly what, but was from there that i took the inspiration.

Reminded me of BattleTech during 90s. Although the mission variation was good, you could go progressive that is having 3 minor objectives then leading to 1 final objective that will always have a boss fight. Still, it's great. Difficult to a point but great.

Mission 7 is refusing to load. I'll click 'start mission' and just get a black screen... Which is unfortunate because I was really enjoying this game.

I'm really digging the ambiance, stylized graphic design and feel of this one. Challenge keeps pumping up at a very finely tuned pace and the game feels very rewarding overall, with just the right amount of difficulty. Diverse upgrades make for decent replayability as well, thumbs up!

I have been getting some framerate issues, but i do have a relatively high end GPU. Im not too sure of the flash limitations, but this could be fixed. Apart from that, it is a very nice game, and get a 4/5 from me. If the framerate problem is fixed, it will become a 5/5.
It isnt your gpu since this game does not use any of the stage3D prop in flash. Atm my best guess is the way kong wraps it + their api sending events to the site. Looking into that.
Edit: uploaded a new version rendered with fp11 instead of 10, on my end it is working.

No quality settings? I'm getting framerate issues and would prefer to lower the quality, but you even disabled the quality settings from the right click options. Not cool.
Since this game is enterily bitmap based the quality for the stage does not influence performance(theres nothing vectorial in the gameplay) . The framerate issues im working on right now as i said to gomwon.

I don't know, for an action shooter it felt rather slow-paced. A good amount of the game is based on the the fact you can upgrade, but the gameplay just didn't take that much advantage of it. The graphics were nice and was one of the finer points of the game but it did get confusing at some point what was terrain and what was not and the fact that EVERYTHING was blue did get boring after a while. Plus the progression felt like lots of things were being repeated and that it was just how long you could last. I could power through this game if I wanted, but it just wouldn't be that fun as I did.

Really nice game. Starts basic, but more and more deadly defense systems kept missions interesting. Upgrades, mission rewards and unlockable star perks made sure you'll feel a little more powerful after each succesful mission. Overall pretty fun.
Thank you Suuj. Thats the idea. Building up slowly. Nice of you to mention about the "defense systems". In an early version of the game the missions were kinda empty, and all felt like they were the same. Those defense systems were implemented to give a sense of urgency and keep the flow of the game.
I swear i will try. Not an easy thing to do this game all by myself.
From the comments im drawing some ideas for a possible sequel. Ty for the support.

Nice game, I had to check my timer to be sure I was not back in the 80's. I liked the old 80' games and thing you hit the feeling of them very good :-)
