Awesome game! Definitely playing the next chapters, just one criticism, Mardek skills and attributes are kinda petty for being the main character and having a symbiotic-like relationship with a powerful being.

Here is a tip for fighting Morric on his battleship. Throw a bunch of phoenix downs at him and he will die rather quickly.

At the end of the game, even without anyone else there, the Shaman still says, "Mm, hello there, young ones." This should probably be singular instead of plural. Unless he's also talking about Rohoph, which seems unlikely. Rohoph probably isn't all that young, either.

A little advice to new players:while casting a single target spell on ally (like Mardek's heal) you can hit right arrow to target all allies for double cost. Same thing when using single target offensive spell (all Emela's skills),but you have to hit the left arrow instead.

a little secret that you might not notice in a typical playthrough
go to gem mine.go through the right path and talk to a miner. he will give you a gift after you save them

this game reminds me of so many other good games i've played on consoles. Not just the main fact of FF Style, the 6 Evils are like the Evils in Bomberman the 2nd Attack (Nintendo64). Also the idea of learning abilities and skill by using items are like the "Tales of" series.

A bit frustrating that I made it all the way up to Moric the 2nd time to find out I'm severely under prepared. Shame I can't go back again to get some spells or items I could've used. It probably means I'll have to start all over again, which is my fault though for not using multiple saves. Still a really good game, just never was the best at turn based stuff.

Killed dragon at lv 18, which was before doing the Arena challenge and beating the game. This is what happens when you have money paranoia @_@

zach is better because in chapter 3 he can get a skill called boneslash which does 1 damage for every creature zach has killed

Holy crap. Went back to play Merdek 2 and realized the two starting allies in Mardek 3 are the other team in the minor quest in the beginning.

@yowman - but Vehrn's Disrupt undead can do about that much each turn before the third round (with smite and Quarry:undead skills)

if anyones trying to decide between zach and the paladin, i would suggest picking zach and here is why. in the zombie dragon boss, using the undead slaying weapon of his you find in the tomb along with the skill Cresendo, i was able to pull of 1000 damage hits every turn by the 3rd round. (and with cresendo, damage continually gets better and better. by the time i won i was doing around 1500)

How does blocking work? I have the shield and DMG-20% abilities equipped, but using the action button doesn't seem to block any damage.

This game hurts me - I have a compulsive need to check all the doors in the castle after every area, just in case one of them opens. CURSE YOU PSEUDOLONEWOLF

Another thing that you could miss in a normal game: After beating the Zombie-Shaman, go back to the room where you killed her, and you will find a very useful item for lateron! :)
