For some reason I'm not getting any achievements. I not only beat the zombie dragon, but also completed the arena which should've netted me two of the badges... but I got nothing instead. Any help?

you should make it so that characters other than mardek automatically have their items stored into your item storage once the game is beat. lost some of my best items moving to chapter 3... ;c

perfect game if you want a free online version of the final fantasy sort it has everything also gives humor to the ol genre very nice and well designed game 5/5

a small tip, when you have magic sheild on your magic is halfed as well so you only get half the healing. Also try leveling mardek up as much as you can he is not going anywhere in fact you should start looking to build a team aroud mardek by the third chapter. Hint check the room at the very end of the grotto where the boss was, where the bones are is a very useful item that raises earth defense to the point of absorbsion

Wow. I am loving this series so far. So much depth, plot, humor, and good ol' RPG action. I can't wait for MARDEK 4-8 to be made.
On a side note, if you read through all the lore, there are some interesting things in there. One of them is about how YALORT's name is always capitalized to show respect to him and because he's a god, and that it's blasphemy to capitalize anything else fully, because that puts them on the same level as YALORT.
However, MARDEK is all caps in the game title... Does this mean that he reaches godhood later in the series? Or does he defeat YALORT eventually? UGH. This raises so many questions!

So much excellence. The gameplay, the story, the music, the art, the attention to so many details, the fleshing out of a whole world, etc. There's even an unspoken system of characters' names incorporating parents' names and element types! So much good humor and light-hearted satire. I only rated 4/5 though. The main story stays mostly clean, but unfortunately I felt the need to stop talking to NPCs and reading books due to *so* much lewd and crude "humor."

Tip for people having problems against zombie shaman, if you're an adept of the FF series you should know that if you "heal" a zombie , it damages him instead , now just try with a phoenix down :D

I absolutely love this game! But did anyone else get really bad lag once they got to the battleship? Even with graphics on minimum, it's really hard to win a react.

well,fir those who wouldn't have figured it out by now,there are certain skills which can be targeted on multiple units simply by pressing the arrow key of the general direction of the target.(left for offensive and right for defensive)these skills include mardek's heal,vehrn's green lightning and all of the skills of emela.and also we can heal our enemies and damage ourselves by just targetting the specific unit.healing opponents is quiet usefull while fighting undeads,considering that the final boss itself is undead.hope it helps:)

EQUIPMENT/EXPLOREbTIP: Things that give you new abilities, immune, or resistance or attack boosts, master and register the skill, so that even if you take the item off, the boost is permanent. This can be very useful, so you can have an item on the character to get the skill, master it, then give it to another character so THEY can have it too! Also, make sure to do a full search of each area with chests with your map. It'll be worth the painful walking/fighting as a majority of the chests have some pretty damn useful items, like equipment to get some new skills, and some of and maybe some useful stuff ie: Phoenix Downs. If you go back to the cave where you fought the bandit leader, and go in the other 2 paths, you can get a miner's amulet from a miner, and some loot, as well as some sick items if you go to the main cave at the end, and go into the cave opening on the left. Also, attempt aqualung at bridge...

COMBAT TIP: Emela's spells can target all enemies at once if you push the right key, at the cost of double mana, and Mardek can also do a team heal by hitting the right key! This can come in handy for taking down multiple enemies, or a nice solid quick heal on the team instead of wasting a bunch of potions in battle, and your attack phase.

With the 2nd Moric battle have some characters learn Vim or equip some Bonestones and he will pretty much revive your team members for free... made the battle rather easy.
