Sorry. Tedious story line, unclear and unreal mechanics, and the inability to use healing between battles kills the playing enjoyment. The storyline enjoyment is dead from the tedium and from forcing me into a character profile I wouldn't play in an RPG.

um, is there a mute button and a cutscene skip button? cuz theres a very long text intro that I'd rather just skip and kill the music.

Do I just have awful luck with the 5 computers I have used or something or is it this game it won't accept my commands I say attack it goes left and on and on

For your first major fight, here are 5 bandits, all with 64 health and they all get to attack you first before you can attack them. Oh, and they use potions to revert back to full health while the others kill you. Then it says Maybe this isn't your type of game, maybe you should try another?

@Stalthdan
I wouldn't call that 'good news'. Not for the MARDEK fans, at least. You forgot to mention that Pseudo is completely changing the setting, pretty much removing all sci-fi elements, since Belfan is now a province, not a planet, and Annunaki are no longer aliens. Elements get completely removed, to be replaced by a system where water magic is now Sadness Magic and fire magic is Bravery Magic. The game is also supposed to be streamlined, removing the openness we had in M3. And on top of that, everybody gets turned into a furry, with Deugan being a lionperson and Emela being a deerperson.

Being a fan of the SNES and RPGs, I'd hoped this would be a lot of fun. Unfortunately, sticking keys ruined those hopes.

I like how every one has a different way to attack which usually involves a slight charge, like with Deugan and his normal attack, and Mardeks.(you get the idea :p) Except Muriance? Nope. Just randomly pulls out a gun like its nothing and shoots a party member! xD

Good news for everyone waiting for a new MARDEK game: Pseudolonewolf is currently remaking the game, and it will be released in short episodes. The first two episodes (which, I think, correspond to the current Chapter 1) are probably going to be released sometime in November!

I like the old SNES style graphics and the game is fun, but there is just TOO much dialogue. I wish it were briefer so I could get on with the game and still enjoy the storyline. I feels like reading a book...

*How much* do you actually have to read before the game starts? Seriously, if I wanted to read pages and pages of text, I'd pick up a novel. The fact that I tried to play a computer game suggests that, you know, I wanted to play a computer game.

why the hell the killing properties of potions arent available !? D:> their melting steel would make them far more useful than swords ¬_¬

Going for my last game to get a shiny kongpanion and finding that the controls aren't working properly on my computer... suckworthy

wait: this is the kind of game where resting in your bed doesn't heal you? I was still poisoned after first Moric battle and thought I would better go to bed and rest... but when I wake up I was still poisoned.
