Steelie, you can't get any bombs before you face Ste- um, the "Mystery Man" to my knowledge, but remember that he's 100% weak to air (so sharla's pretty effective) and 20% weak to light (so if you don't have a Champion Sword from Chapter II, use the Sun Sword (from a chest with 4 lizards in the Temple)) and a Sun Axe if you were lucky enough to get one before placing the Wardingstone. Also, Ssln'ck would probably be better than Donovan here due to his high HP (counterattacks and all that). Hope this helps.

sorry if this is a re post i'm not sure if the original did post so.....
hey this is a shout out to pseudo this game series is amazing no matter whatever anyone else says i haven't found a bad thing and i love the fact you did some spells/attacks where you hit left or right and it targets all enemies or friendlies although i didn't notice until the final battle in chapter 2 lol but yeah the only negative thing about it is you can't replay a chapter after beating it you have to move to the next or make a new save but still has so much value and i rate it a 10/5 i haven't seen many flash games with this much detail or quality and coming from one person (you) just makes it that impressive since a lot of good games require a team of guys who spent years trying to reach the level you have so keep going

@VortigonX1: You CAN, but trust me, you don't WANT to... you get so much more out of a file on the first two games, both plot-wise and item-wise.

@ Captaingray If you're having so much trouble in the sun temple, then there's something wrong with you, not the game. That is the easiest part in the game, and it's your own fault if you let yourself get beat up so easily. Try playing the first two games first, if you haven't, because you can get items that will help you. Like, for instance better armor and weapons.

I absolutely LOVE all of the MARDEK games you have made so far, I really enjoy your style of humor and the way combat works. I like the concept of gathering new characters that bring new elements to battles and i suggest you continue on in this manner, but throw in some BIG plot twists and perhaps focus on Deugan and the " Mystery Man " a bit more as i find these characters very interesting. I enjoy the lore of your universe. Keep up the GREAT work!

Whole game beaten, every non-passive skill mastered, 200+ hours of gameplay on my save file... I clear my internet history one time... *facepalm*

It has come to my attention that this game has fallen behind in the best Adventure and RPG games on the site. It is now behind "Arkadian Crusade". I say that we all give this a 5/5 (as it should be) so we can get this game to where it should be, the best game on the site.

Congratulations! You just won the Psychosomatic Exhaustion Badge and 60 points!
My first impossible badge, now to complete the gane
And by the way Pseudo, by far the most epic and enjoyable game on Kongregate

This is seriously the best rpg I've played online, full stop. For all the reasons listed. I praise any game that keeps me more than happy for 30+ hours (all chapters) and I've still got a fair bit left in this chapter. My only one, niggling little problem is that moving items around characters and that can take awhile. Like I'm switching guys in and outta my party and I wanna grab all the leavers accessories or if I wanna get everything for people to learn, it can take awhile ya know. Otherwise, this game deserves any and all accolades it can get.
Very very very big number/5 :D

This game is one of the most impressive flash games I've ever played if not the best. What's not to like about it? Great music, an entertaining plot, plenty of good humor and over 15 hours of gameplay. I look forward to playing the 4th installment when it comes out

Replace the Warding Stone?
>>Don't Bother
"You shouldn't have grown so attached to little 'Wardy McStone', you know. You KNEW from the moment that he came into your tender care that you'd one day have to say goodbye, so please, overcome your emotional difficulties now, say a good long, teary farewell to the stone you wish was your lover and son, and come back when you're good and ready"
....Epic. Lmao.

it disturbed me how long it took to get past the sun temple but other than that it is the best of the mardek games so far

A huge part of the fan group is disappointed when Pseudolonewolf mentioned about the reboot on MARDEK RPG but a post on Alora Fane (by Pseudolonewolf himself) said that he IS working on MARDEK chapter 4 following a supporting detail made by Emela ( aka water guardian ) saying that there WILL be a chapter four but I'm not TOTALLY sure that if there would be a chapter four. Besides here is the way to Alora Fane ------http://www.alorafane.com/blog

This is the one of the best, most epic Flash games I have ever played. I love how, instead of most RPG's, at the start of each chapter you have the same data as the last. Usually, there's no explanation as to how the character seem to go down a lot of levels, but here, there's no explanation needed. If you have trouble with the Saviours, then give Mardek a bunch of dark resistance armour and skills so he has 200% absorb to Dark. Then PHYSICALLY attack Bernard with Mardek, Bernard will use 'Heh', heal Mardek and knock himself out - then just use Fairy Dust. 500/5.

Amazing game. I just finished up the first and second chapters, and I'm going to go ahead and give this one 5 stars as well, even before playing it. Everything about it is amazingly well thought out and put together. Music: Unlike most games, I didn't mute this ASAP and play my own music. The music and SFX fit the game and mood perfectly. Random battles: Not overdone, not too few, and the ability to skip fights before they start if you pay attention is simply genius. Well done! Gameplay: The fights aren't too difficult, but yet not easy enough to warrant skipping all form of strategy. Planning ahead offers a huge advantage, but you CAN rush headlong into most fights if you want to. I like the options this offers. Customization/skill system: I like this, a lot. There's so much to change, and you have to plan ahead when you change equipment, else you risk upsetting the balance between all your characters.
Overall, amazing series so far... thanks!

I fail to understand HOW this amazing game could NOT be on the top 3 list of games. The only reason Epic Battle Fantasy is rated higher than this is because of the boobies. But this game actually has a story. One the greatest and well thought out stories I have ever seen. The music is amazing and all of the scores are original. Even the story WITHING the story is Incept- beautifully written. The characters are multi-dimensional and actually have you develop feelings for them, unlike most other games. The amount of imagery and motifs in the game is unreal and I was left wanting more when I finished. To anyone out here who gave this game 3 stars or less, I present to you a bird. To Tobias Cornwall (Pseudolonewolf) I give you my undying fandom. I just wish you had as much enthusiasm in this series as much as I do.

Everytime i play through this game, I am more and more amazed. It truly is one of the best games on the internet. While I am sad we won't ever get a chapter 4, I am excited for the reboot. Hopefully the story of Mardek will continue there

lol there is a zombie blocking the door to the sewers and when you talk to him he is referring to sonny 1 he is talking about waking up on a ship with a blind man and instead of having a tape hes got a scroll check if you like

A very fun game to play, up to the point where you have to grind monsters to raise your character from 35 to 50-55 for the impossible badge :S

Wished some guardians could "joinify" our party, like Solaar did (and suggested to Girrus). At least the Earth one. He's so adorable. "Moo".

I saw the third room at the top in the beginning had a chest. I opened it before a read what the guy had to say, and after I read that I felt bad.

Even unfinished it's still the best online flash game there is (imo). Replay it every year, read all dialogue each time, never get bored of it. Simply awesome.

paul10y97: When Double AP is turned on all of the skills that character is learning earn points at twice the normal rate, e.g. learning a 20 AP magic defense skill requires suffering 10 magic hits instead of 20. It applies to all skills being learned, including itself (you learn it in 100 battles instead of the rated 200.) I usually don't bother with it until a character has most of the important skills available, which for me usually means level 30-something. Comes in handy at times, like when Mardek learns Bleed from the cursed sword.

So, in order to fire his Flamethrower, Meraeador can't be silenced... I'm assuming that means he's screaming wildly as he uses it. So, is it voice-activated, or are his screams its fuel source?

Ive finished almost every flash RPG with was at least "mediocre". Except Mardek, cause somehow I was threwn away every time ive tried - beginning are rather hard to get used to (jokes all around, "strange" menu system, a lot of pretty hard random battles). Since few days ago, when i gathered my spirit, and played this game a bit longer. And guess what I was doing during these few days? :). This game is awesome, would have heart broken if I would have to choose between Mardek and Epic Fantasy but nonetheless - these two are the best flash RPG series ever, yet totally different. The minus on Mardek side is, as I mentioned earlier, that's kinda hard to get used to this game. Ahh and PLEASE DONT MAKE DOUBLE "ESC" LEAVING THE GAME!:D. Congratulations for a wonderful game!

This is truly one of the best free online flash games out there. I mean, it's astounding that it's all made by one guy and it's all for free. Truly a masterpiece that provides endless hours of entertaining gameplay.

Quite possibly the greatest story ever told through flash gaming. Truly, a testament to Pseudo's immeasurable creativity.

This game should be the example for all free games. It shows that a free game can have a great "full length" story and well fleshed out characters with sophisticated game-play mechanics and a superb attention to detail. It really puts the majority of the games on, not just this, but any free game sight to shame.
