Just went over the last two comments by WIIoverlord and SpearDudezor...I must say I feel Like I am rather unappreciative of pseudolonewolf when I say this BUT I will lose most of my respect for him if he really does what he mentions in the link WIIoverlord posted. I have played the series since ALMOST the day it came out, me and many other fans have been patiently waiting for the next installment....I understand where pseudolonewolf is coming from but honestly I would rather him just release a really short Mardek Chapter 4 Where he concludes the series Somehow OR...just don't make any more mardek I would actually prefer that to what he is talking about doing. Doing what he is talking about doing wont give me closure on this series and that's what I'm looking for.

I agree, WIIoverlord, though my issue goes beyond that. No matter how entertaining the new series might end up being, a significant part of me thinks it would've been better for MARDEK to just die like this, with a pure name. Pseudolonewolf is taking the name and essence of MARDEK and twisting it into something completely different, something that isn't MARDEK.
Had the new series been its own separate thing, I likely would have accepted it and maybe even looked forward to it. Instead, I wait for a perversion. I very rarely give money for games, but I was ready to send some to Pseudolonewolf until I found out about this the same day. He can do whatever he wants with his creations, but I want no part in this

Apparently, this is the last game to be made in this series. Pseudolonewolf is abandoning this series and remaking MARDEK as some kind of Central American Virtual Novel with no emphasis on gameplay. Dangit, man, the gameplay was why I loved these games! Sure the writing was funny and great, but I want RPGs to PLAY not watch. CORRECTION:Motions doesnt do the Stun curing
Sslenck can be useful to deal damage.
Mardek is one of the most importants. keeps the party away from Catastrophic Punch and adds shield.
Solaar is also. since its the only one that can ressurect the others.
Sharla is a Aeromancer. and Air is the Mystey Man weakness. Make she cast Air spells. (offensive spells)

How to beat the Mystery Man:Get 10 Ballon/Sound/Motion for each character. remove Donovan (hes useless. unless if ur too lazy to get the motions.) Level up them (atleast 2) and battle. Mardek must have Shield and Morality Block. since Shield protects the party from Mystery Man increassingly OP damage attack, especially the Catastrophic Punch, that can be stopped by the Morality Block Null Dark. Get some potions and ur ready to beat him.

so i've played through this a few times, changing the party i used each time, i still find it easier to solo karnos and animus with mardek and a specialized build than using the whole party

If you ever get low on gold, Posh zombies are a good enemy to grind. They can be found in Saul's dungeon and have a 10% chance to drop an expensive vest(sold for 10,000) or mahogany staff(sold for 6,000 but can also teach Gloria the M Drain HP 10% skill). I recommend you get the lucky coin first and teach Loot Finder Lv.1 to all 4 party members to give them both a 20% chance of dropping

arrrgh i put like 90+ hours in, was ready to kill Karnos, ran Onyx cause my comp was running slow and i wanted it working fast for the battle and deleted my save files.

Don't get all the praise of this game. At first everything is easy, no strategy, nothing. Than you open a chest, and encounter some kind of maniac who instant kills your party, which you then skip next time? Really..

So how about a challenge for the game in it's current state? Beat every boss in the game with a different character. This ensures a decent challenge in at least using everyone. Also, did everyone know that you can beat Karnos before you even complete a single temple? Imagine Legion (another quest possible before then) getting just about any technique possible from one of the superbosses, just to beat up some poor little guardian...

so heres a little hint or idea, you can make Stingsticks in chapter 3 from poison stingers and goblin earwax found in the earlier chapters. Goblins drop the wax, bees drop the stingers, and you can buy the iron spears for 500 gold at the shop right by the blacksmith. you make 4500 gold ea!

tip: all characters have individual inventories. Plan who is going to carry which item so you always can get good consumables to use in battle and not risk one having all potions locked when she/he dies.

3 lizards: all 3 attacked Sharla, but she survived. I healed her with Mardek and then all 3 attacked Mardek. Coincidence or an actually smart AI that tries to take out healer first?

If you want to get the Sun Axe just don't complete your original mission in the game (don't put that one orb into that one tower at the end of the church) and wait until later in game when you get the item that boosts drop rate, teach the skill to all your party, and go back. You should be able to find Sun Axe a lot easier then! Everyone else is technically right that its not a good weapon but for "completionism" that is the best way to do it

@nemoric it's not the stats or the weapon itself I'm after. Do you know what a completionist is? Do you know what OCD is? I am both, which is why if I don't keep searching for it, my face could explode. I only asked the question below, because I wanted to see other people's opinion.
