So depressing to hear the news that Mardek 4 isn't happening. I still have my save file from 2 years ago back when I'm still playing it with my mom's laptop. Maybe, I'll just play 1, 2, 3 again and be done with Mardek series. Why must you hurt me this way?

If you press back or "Z" when the exclamation point comes up before a fight you skip the battle automatically. Handy for repeated dungeons, low level annoying enemies, etc.

Just finished the game, getting the psychosomatic exhaustion badge along the way. It was fun to play, other than that the constellation of skills you can get from weapons and clothes was complicated to the point of being mind-boggling. "What gives me the 20% magic damage resistance? The fancy robe or the plain robe? Oh wait, this character isn't allowed to wear that, it's probably a shield or something... The story was quite enjoyable and immersive though, right up until the end. The ending was just flat out depressing. I won't say any more about it so as to not post spoilers.

It makes me sad that Mardek 4 won't happen and that Mardek is being rebooted with an emphasis, anthropomorphic characters, and spirituality and emotions instead of knights and magic. If you followed the creators blog about a year after the release of Mardek 3 you would have noticed that the fanbase was harassing him for Mardek 4 and he was drained so he wanted to branch out to other games. You could really see the stress pile on him, especially when he and his girlfriend broke up. It almost seems like he had a mental breakdown and the only way he could get through with it was to focus on positivity and that reflects in the reboot.

Pseudelonewolf is very close to releasing his new Mardek (mobile game now and has quite a lot changes, but I still like it) - currently in Beta Phase, but you can register for it on his new website alorafane.com

Hate to ruin it for you guys but Mardek 4 is not happening. He is remaking Mardek all over again and it wotn exactly be what it was at all. Im glad the old Mardeks are still out there though! A true legacy

This has to be by far in my opinion the best flash game out there. So much hard work and thought has been put into it with the cleverly written story and the combat and its just so good, better than most games even on steam which cost money. You are a legend Pseudolonewolf, I hope to see Mardek 4 sometime in the future.

Honestly, the real beauty of this game is the dreamstones. Props to Pseudo for such good ideas. You only have to use a few and you'll be both hooked and heartbroken. Honestly thins is why the mardek series just blows everything out of the water.

Juicey123, yeah, that happens sometimes. There doesn't seem to be anything you can do except refresh and pick up an old save file.

this is bad news but the new type of mardek game hes working on is way worse than this. THE GRAPHIKS ARE HORRIBLE! I like this one better.

@jrogelio He isn't going to make chapter 4 whatever people do or say. He has finally got inspired enough to focus on this game entirely so I really hope we can support him all we can.

Tip: Solaar's Resurrect can be used to deal massive damage to undead creatures. Try it on the undead Dracelon in Saul's dungeon - it deals about 3000 damage.

Fapping Rohoph... Ugh... It'll be hard to get over this chapter 3 if I don't get to continue the story.. Damnit ;/ Wish pseudowolf made the 4th chapter, really... 5/5 for all chapters, of course... And.. NO REBOOTS please, mardek is perfect the way it is..

my game data got deleted and i worked very hard on it i played chapter 1 2 and was playing 3 stoped playing for like a week then came back and all of it is gone :(

Fantastic game! Best online RPG ever made hands down! I do hate every crystal puzzle because im colorblind and they take me forever but you win some you loose some

A huge part of the fan group is disappointed when Pseudolonewolf mentioned about the reboot on MARDEK RPG but a post on Alora Fane (by Pseudolonewolf himself) said that he IS working on MARDEK chapter 4 following a supporting detail made by Emela ( aka water guardian ) saying that there WILL be a chapter four but I'm not TOTALLY sure that if there would be a chapter four. If I remember correctly, the game was originally planned to span 7 chapters. Has there been official news that the project is cancelled, or are you just hypothesizing because of how long it's been since chapter 3?

It's a real shame, y'see, that Pseudo actually was planning on Chapter 4 to actually happen, proven by the fact that the Water Guardian who is probably not Emela if you talk to her after Clavis does his rambling, she says "See you next chapter." A mighty shame, that.

I just want to say that Pseudo did an absolutely fantastic job creating this series up to now, I am quite sad and a bit dissapointed that he probably wont continue this series. Ive heard hes working on a remake of Chaper I, I saw a few screenshots of it, and all the changes he made to the stories and characters and was left with a bit of a bad aftertaste. So if you ever read this Pseudo, please just consider continuing the series in this format. I realise you have moved on to chase greater heights, but many people did, and still, love this game very much and it would be a shame to see it unfinished. Nevertheless, great job.

It's a bookshelf full of various magazines and annuals about weapons. It includes such eccentric models as a handheld paper fan, some kind of hairclip or headdress, a megaphone, and some kind of strange sword-combined-with-a-gun. Who'd use such ridiculous things? If I recall these are all weapons used at least once in the Final Fantasy series.

@DrKillmealready: But when you think about it, the only way this series could continue is if he added in some plot twist to reset the power levels of all the characters. Seriously, by the end of chapter 3 you already know 90% of skills in the game, and the only power progression afterwards would be through leveling and items. I'm going to miss this MARDEK series. The new MARDEK series just doesn't seem right to me, but it is Psuedo's product so i'll probably end up playing the new too. Still seems a bit sad to me that we'll never get to have the full experience with this one.
