I just hope pseudo isn't overworking himself with the new chapter if he is working on it,we wouldn't want to see this series coming to an end so soon

Glitch found: in the earth temple puzzle room(s), try talking to your teammates. the dialogue appears to be the same but the face is still Mardeks,

For Royal knights, Donovan and Sharla are really under leveled for this mission. Considering that the enemies are about 5 levels higher than them in the start. Good thing I've pretty much focused all my levels in the last two chapters into Mardek, so he can carry the squad! The mages are so squishy... The three lizard encounters generally end with Sharla or Donovan dying immediately...

Well, Spoilers, but Deugan stayed behind to fight off a mech/zombie/dragon so that the rest of the party could board escape pods to escape Moric's batttleship before it crashed. Emela ended up deciding to leave the royal guard to go adventuring somewhere after Deugan's death...

That moment... when you find out... your safe of Mardek III... that was carried all the way from Mardek I... is... gone... I... I'm going to lay down for a moment...

The story so far so people stop asking:
Chapter I: a spaceship from the planet Anshar crashes into Belfan and is discovered by Mardek and Deugan. The dying Annunaki on board, Rohoph, is forced to transfer his soul to Mardek.
Chapter II: years pass and the boys are training at Goznor Castle. They team up with Elemancer Emela to complete a mission at the neighbouring town, Canonia. There, they find the local Shaman's been zombified by another Annunaki named Moric.
The heroes return home to find zombie villagers everywhere, and enter the sewers to fight Moric. However, his soul transfers to the dead hero Social Fox. He escapes to his spaceship over Canonia. The heroes chase and defeat a now-insane Moric. Deugan sacrifices himself during a self-destruct sequence so the others can escape.
Chapter III: Mardek, now a Royal Guard, works with fellow thaumaturgists Sharla and Donovan to take care of strange happenings in the Light Temple, only to uncover serious developments closer to home...

can't say deugan died... but in the battle with the green darkness boss.. Rhobob whatever... after they defeated Rhobob (with the Fox hero body) then the battle ship self-destruct timer. deugan stall by fighting the undead mechanic guard dog so they can escape using ship pod. deugon thought to be dead in the battle ship.

ahahaha... I finished chapter 2 with the rest using only the starter items. I guess I am lucky that the last boss enemy skill that have black miasma didnt gave any damage at all. Twice at that... I even managed to run away...

This and Epic Battle Fantasy 4 are the best turn-based RPGs ever made.
All praise our lord and savior, Pseudolonewolf.

Such a fantastic game... words cant even describe the exhilaration and excitement I feel when I'm playing this story. Pseudolonewolf is a truly marvellous game developer!

This may interest people who keep losing their save files:
Every time you clear your browser's or computer's history, no matter what you're using (whether it be Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, or otherwise), your save data will be DELETED and will be very difficult to recover! So if you want to prepare for playing this game and have a lot of... stuff... on your computer, then your data will be wiped.
I'm not sure this is 100% accurate, but every time I've done this, my save data has disappeared, so it may be something to note.
Also, this series is done now, and the developer is making 'Taming Dreams' and some game called 'Cultivate'... they're VERY different from what you'd expect of the developer's past titles, as Taming Dreams take a rather wild spin on the older games (almost like a retelling), but if you want something different, I'd try it out!

after all these years and several lost save files i finally played through all 3 of them...
SPOILER
a bit sad it ended on a moral cliffhanger :/

I cannot recommend this game highly enough. The amount of care and attention evident in every tiny detail is simply mind-boggling.

Best leveling tip I've found is to get requiem for Elwyen before you go to sauls dungeon. Once there, you can spam it and train weak party members easily, got all characters to level 25 in less than 6 hours.

I've always considered this to be the best RPG I've ever played, even with respect to such greats as the Final Fantasy games, Zelda, Chrono, etc. No other game quite blends humour and story with such in depth character development and very 'sharp' game mechanics that at once keep it both challenging and fun. Since then, only Tales of Symphonia has dethroned this game in my books (as I hadn't played it as a child and only recently found it), however it still holds top 2 easily and often I come back to it and reevaluate my personal list. I will never take back my 5 star rating, this game is bloody amazing.

If you don't want to change your main party members for defeating Annihilator Animus, the most simple way for defeat him is learn for all the party the "Resist AETHER" skill, because his most usable and very ferocius attack have this element. You can simply lern it with a Turquoise gem and speed up the process with a Evening Star. I was trying to defeat him time ago whitout this skill but as result im died a lot of time. Good luck for the Super Boss killer aspirants (P.S. the best way to lv up is in the little lake in the mine, expecially for the "All solo arenas" badge). Really nice game ^ ^

@OneWhoProtects15, yes, that happens to me pretty often in the solo arenas as well. The only advice I can really give is to learn soulstrike.

Finally, after years having played this series, unable to progress in the past due to IE glitchy sticky keys (now I use a different browser), I have finally completely beaten this marvelous game in it's entirety. So sad that it will not be continued ever, but perhaps someday, somehow, we can return to Belfan, track down the Dark Crystal, find Enki, and soar into space aboard the Goldfish to save the universe from the corrupted Annunaki! Until then, the imagination shall have to suffice. Truly this is one of the best thought-out RPG series to have graced the gaming world. Thank you Pseudolonewolf, even if you no longer care for it.

I am in an infinite loop with Zach in solo arena he was forced into beserk mode against an enemy that can't be hurt unless I use sinstrike

Here's Pseudo's blog post where he pretty directly talks about his new game taking over what Chapter 4 would've been. http://www.alorafane.com/blog/187
And I'll just say it now. If you aren't a person that likes 'emotion-driven games', then you probably won't like what he's done.

If you guys want to know more about Pseudolongwolf, and all the things he's doing. You can find his blog here: http://www.alorafane.com/blog
A bit of info though, there will not be a Mardek Chapter 4 and beyond. He dropped this series, in a sense. He started up on a different game. - But you can read all about that on his blog.

This is my third run through of the game series, and I just have to say that pseudolonewolf is one of the greatest RPG game creators online. All of his games are highly detailed, have great character and plot development, and every second is exciting and enjoyable. I constantly find myself checking in to see in the fourth installment is coming out. Once I take up programming in college, I would even love to help out if at all possible. 5/5

I love this game and I hope you revive it soon enough. My only beef is sometimes the NPCs will clog up an entry way and they take forever to get the hell out of the way.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game is awesome... And I just love the concept of Miasma-not only does it clear "ethical issues",but it also explains how the monsters are able to spawn out of thin air! It's genial!

Hej, sadly, pseudolonewolf said he wanted to work on mardek again but instead of making the 4th chapter, he made new versions of the first episodes, imo totally killing the original game.
But ! He decided to rename it so I think there is a small chance of a real mardek 4, we just need to hope the guy gives his project to another developper OR comes out of that dark age where he thinks mardek is immature and becomes an AFOM (adult fan of mardek) when nostalgia kills that previous idea.

After 55 hours of gameplay I discover that you can multicast any spell by pressing the left/right arrows. At twice the MP cost you can do this with any spell..... 55 hours later....

I somehow made a plan to defeat Annihilator:Karnos and Animus I try many ways to defeat that no good for nothing piece of HELL! of that Karnos anyway I used the Cursed blade and beret a Strength potion, Astral Wanderer's Garb or Mythril Platemail, Eclipse Amulet, Scarab of Health (give the other fairies to their leader except the yellow fairy useful at the "Survival Tournament") a Speedy Juice and Angry Juice then used Legion's "Fairy Dust" ability" to weaken the Karnos also Animus....about Animus is a tricky part you need your party (Mardek,Gloria,Legion,Solaar or Elwyen) the Animus mostly use Aether so better have resistant it can also lower your spirit so better used Solaar. That's all for now I hope it helps :)
