Ranged attackers need a boost, not even the Fire Mages do visible damage on higher level humans, they are only usefull for their skill

Finnally, people are starting to make good games where you can be the bad guy for once. Now, we just wait for a console game like that.

also...iv noticed, when u let them walk slowly, all i can hear is.."they see us strollin'...they hatin'" ..what is wrong with me...also,the tactics bit is where u decide who goes first in battle.
hope tht helps u all!

for the one who says just auto-launch the army with a good set-up, that doesn't work quite as well as you think, they only get to about level 28(ish). launching it with a good setup, and controlling ONLY the various buffs, works exactly as well as trying desperately to switch the correct soldier to the correct enemy- you get to the Titan, then die. (note that I do not have the Demon yet, I have everything else, fully upgraded. Also, if I tried, I could in fact beat the Demon, as I had him down to 89 hp)

to everyone saying there is no strategy, you are crazy..granted it is minimal strategy do not upgrade everything on everyone that is a gold sink (because we know archers having more hp is totally valuable)

This is too grindy and repetitive and it the bad way too. This is one of those games where you just go play the hacked version and blow through the entire thing in 1 go.

Beat the game is 31 days. The game is tactical and challenging if you try to win in the fewest days possible, otherwise, as others have said, its just a grind. Here are some suggestions if you decide to make a sequel:
**1) Randomize enemy formations. The static layout makes each run through get pretty tedious. **2) Allow the player to choose a pathway to the boss, like railroad switchs at particular intervals. Each path has its own particular challenge. Maybe the switches could be a sort of rest point/camp site where units heal a little. **3) Have the game END after a certain amount of days have passed. You can't win a game you can't lose. And make it a challenge to finish by this arbitrary amount of days so people don't just grind through it.

wish you could switch up your ranks in battle, then you could see who was coming and adjust your lines accordingly. it would actually give some strategy to the game

5 units vs 1 unit. In this game 4 units do nothing while 1 unit dies and gets replaced. RTS implied strategy eg. the other units have a tactical use?

there is, unfortunately, an end. an end which comes FAR too soon, I might add, as it's virtually impossible to upgrade your army to 100% in this game (for one of the achievements)

This game is FLAWED. Rather then just having one level which you slowly chip away at it needs to be broken up into levels, and only once you complete a level do you get upgrade points. I don't want to be watching the same script play out for hours to win. It doesn't matter if I use my gold wisely or not, I can eventually afford all the upgrades, so it doesn't matter what I get, THERES NO THINKING AT ALL. Any idiot can beat this so I don't feel the point in getting to the end, the graphics arnt THAT good...

Heya, I love the concept of this game and this is a very cool grinding game. However it lacks a feel of progression because you restart every time in the same place against the same units. While getting better people to go at it again and again is fun, it's only for a short time and the game becomes an off and on sort of thing instead of a desperate to finish. So basically, clear progress related to area and more enemy units would be good. It's a good game, and fun, however it lacks gripping factor.

did you know, a strategic element of this game is knowing when to use your archers/chamans/dark mages as front-line fodder. you see, archers and chamans both defeat peasants in 1v1, and mages defeat militia in 1v1. so, you can use their HP to get through the first 4-6 waves without losing any troops, and show up at the higher level enemies with main front line troops undamaged.

Thanks fredTheBadger - now I can reposition units the undead fighters are reuseable fodder making it more tactical and less of a grind. I manged to win with just Goblins/Undead/Demon/Chaman/Dark Mages/non upgraded werewolves + kamikazee goblins on day 35 (was grinding until 25 when I read your comment)

There doesn't seem to be much of a speed difference between "Normal" and "Fast". Considering the constant grind of the levels, I suggest making "Fast" increase the speed by 50% to 100%, as opposed to the (10%?) it is now.

As it has already been said, it's very repetitive and gets dull after some minutes of gameplay. There's no choice other than getting money, fully upgrading one creature and then moving on to the next one. Having to fight the enemies from the first wave over and over again gets tiring. It has potential, though. Maybe if you added more stats to the creatures and allowed a more complex organization and movimentation of the troops on the battlefield the game would be more interesting.

This game is good, but It's so god damned slow I find myself just launching the gang, then roam internet for an hour or so, check back, buy upgrades repeat.

Soooooo... It turns out that you can reposition your units during the march. I found this out after max upgrading everything up to the wolfmen.
