how to win: level up at least once (if you're bad at the game like me then you'll need to level up more so your stats will start of better) and then go two cat and two ninjas (it also works with one cat but two cats is even more fun) your candy is top priority, so get as much of that as possible during the whole game. After the first wave, upgrade the candy upgrade once (or twice if you can) and then repeat until your candy is maxed out. When this happens, start upgrading your special up to max using the same strategy as before. Then do the same as your attack, and then after then you can do whatever you want. make sure to use your special anytime there's enemies on screen that aren't just one or two grey aliens, there's no need to try to use them stragically if you can just spam them at every corner. If you did the thing, and you did it right, and you didn't mess it up, it works! It just works!

this should be tagged with rogue-lite since you unlock stats to become stronger when you begin again. And seriously boss give a 1 candy only? Can't give more than 1/5 based on principle alone.

The game progresses at a snail's pace. Considering you can't shoot behind yourself, it's odd how many enemies spawn behind you. Especially the final boss. It spawns the chasing enemies at the very left side of the screen. Even with max upgrades and a party optimized for speed, it is impossible to avoid taking damage from it. On the final boss. I would like my time spent playing this game refunded.

I got to lv.18 easily with 2 ninjas, witch, and cat. Btw, I seem to have more firepower with this setup then 4 witches. Seems that ninjas do 3x the damage if all projectiles hit then a costume that hits just one target. I took out a few of the lv.18 mini-bosses but they saturated the screen and I forget about the charge and run you over attack.

Tried 4 witches only got to wave 17, they seem to have more trouble with lots and lots of shooters than standard 3 ninja + kat, nevertheless I might have gotten really unlucky.

Wave 18 out of 50 completed om gosh how long is survival? I'm thinking you need some more defense to survive that the 3 ninja + cat is not good enough against the more difficult waves in survival, the big question is, is any team good enough? Would 4 faeries far any better?

Got the hard badge by getting to wave 18 on survival. As +45 captain, now I got general rank. Btw, the difficulty seem more or less the same waves 11-17 on survival then jumps in difficulty at wave 18 in case anyone gets bored and thinks survival is going nowhere.

Nanakom and others of Kong, I want to tell you another selection of classes for the team, that would be two Ninjas in the back (the more leftfield) line, and let a Rabbit and a Cat constitute the avantgarde! I am not saying that this setup is more killa, what I remember it for is, had even more fun leading a [NN][RC], felt more dynamic even. Have fun

Any tips for how to survive level 18? It's kinda ridiculous. I've tried two ninjas and two witches. Two ninjas and two cats. Three ninjas and a cat. Two ninjas, a cat, and a witch. A witch, ninja, fairy, and knight. It's insane.

It would have certainly been nice to now that quitting the survival doesn't count your points but that you have to die for that. That's another half hour of my life wasted then, I guess.

Holy crap! I think I see three bosses on 18! But it looks like two glued together? Oh, so it's six. WRONG! IT'S NINE!!! Wtf, mate!? No wonder it says there's "only" 50 waves of survival. No one's supposed to make it to 20.

The comments speak the truth! The best way to get to 30,000 points is with 3 Ninjas and 1 Cat. Focus on accumulating candy and all the kills. Spam that Frenzy, don't worry -it recharges quick.

Pretty fun. The only problem is that the upgrade descriptions aren't clear. For example, does "Increases attack speed" mean that the rate of fire increases, or the velocity of the projectiles increase? And how much does it increase? I don't want to spend 300 candy for a 2% increase, but I would for 20%.

Alternate titles for this game: Why it isn't always a bad idea to give kids potentially dangerous (read:sharp pointy things capable of tearing clothing but incapable of piercing human flesh). 5 signs your always out of town neighbor may be a Secret Agent and/or experimental weapon designer.

I enjoyed the game. But one thing I would love is candy upgrade make easy enemys drop more valuable resource. Is so bad putting like 3 points in there and enemys drop candy with one value all the time

Not too bad if you're used to getting those bullet hell badges. I got the hard one with a team of 3 ninjas one cat. Don't be stingy with the specials, use them when more than 1 full line of enemies are present.

edit: 3 ninja and a cat is better. For the Hard badge, focus on candy upgrade first, as it adds to your score. By the time you get to wave 18, you will need to have earned your 30k points, or be luckier than me.

They took our candy. So let's get it back, spend it all, beat up the aliens and go home sad because WE SPENT EVERYTHING THAT WE FOUGHT FOR!!! Great move.

Enjoyable progression of each level. As stated previously, Ninja are the way to go. Using 4 Ninja, I beat the game on my third run. The ability to shoot behind you is critical for the last boss. I would also recommend upgrading candy as soon as possible. I had all stats maxed before the final two waves, making them fairly easy. The upgrades are minor, but still noticeable. Candy seems to improve the type of candy dropped as well as the frequency.

Got me the Hard Badge with 2 Ninjas, 1 Cat and 1 Knight. To get to 30.000 you totally need some defence, simple attack won't cut it.

The upgrades don't seem to be much of an upgrade. For example on the run that got the BOTD for me, speed was 2 away from maxed. But in all honesty it still felt and looked like I didn't upgrade at all. This seemed to be the way for other stats too such as attack speed.

not to mention that the progressive starter upgrade doesn't really curb the escalation. and Wave 18 damn near froze my computer. when 3 minibosses showed up i thought it was over. when more started popping up and riddling the screen with bullets and miniboss instances (must've been at least 8), i just let 'em kill me off. my comp can deal with bullet hell. that is not bullet hell: it's instance hell. dunno how i was even s'posed to win that.

interesting shmup, but needlessly over-complicated from the get&go. and i think the addition of extra characters, since most provide too little variation (and only one is really worthwhile anyway) were thrown in to make up for the lack of replayability. plus, your party moves like a tank regardless of how much speed you put into it. this ain't Commando, though i am thankful for the lack of difficulty. and honestly, making something "retro" doesn't make it "good": the music is grating house variations that stale and annoy after the first few minutes. need to be able to mute the music w/o muting the sound, so i can crank up something fitting. @guardian angel: no, this formula has been repeated a million times over. it's not unique at all. you just haven't been playing the right games. try on some Touhou or something.
