Got 30k on survival mode twice with 4x Ninja and 4xWitch... 4x Witch is the best for me.... Spammable special = Machine gun.

Why the hell do you move so slowly when you're trying to go backwards? The enemies are so much faster than you are, so when you dont kill a chaser, and it gets too close, you're getting hit no matter what you try

*in the army* Sir, the aliens are attacking, what should we do?
Just send these kids, they will do the job for candy.

My winning setup was 2 ninjas, 1 cat and 1 knight. The cats help you to chain your special attacks nearly right after when your previous special ends. The knight blocks 75% of the incoming damage. Chain that and you'll get a very effective shield.

I can't believe it, but 2 Ninjas + 1 Cat & 1 Robin Hood (when you unlock him) kinda blows the 3 Ninja/1 cat team away. I had considerably less trouble (and utilized the special attack less frequently) with that Hood on my team. The added power in the front allowed me to mow down enemies with a simple sweeping motion, and I didn't have to pause to get those followers in front of me to fall. Overall, this is game is a lot of fun and kept me playing to earn the hard badge! Absolutely perfect music to keep me going, too.

It`s a very nice game. Graphics simulate 8-bit, catchy music and fun and unexpected enemy placement really make this game shine. But there should be a short-key for the pause button, like P. It`s kind of annoying having to click the pause button everytime you have to/want to pause. Though despite that minor flaw, the game is really good and original. 5/5.
PD: My setup to win the game was Knight-Pirate-Pirate-Cat. It actually defies expectations and works really well.

I used the cat, witch and 2 ninjas team. Ranked up all the way to hero and then did the survival. Around level 18 I managed to get the third badge.

I think I found a winning combo. 1 witch, 1 cat, 2 ninjas on opposite corners (helps with their weapon spread). By the end, I had my buffs up like 80% of the time at least. I could probably have it up permanently with a couple more levels. Could substitute the witch or cat for another of the other, i guess, but I like this balance.

This game reminds me of a mini game on pet RPG where it was you trying to survive. You started out with a really crappy weapon and every time you beat an enemy you would get "points" AKA money where you could buy better weapons. You didnt unlock any new characters or titles, but hey,its just a mini game. If it was as epic as this it would get its own game.

It is frustrating that progress is lost. Twice now, I have gone back down to soldier and have Survival mode locked after closing the game. The second time I checked everywhere to see if there was a way to save, even played a dummy normal run in the hope that it would save my progress.

Hey cool let's make the boss spawn slimes as far left as possible; should be easy to avoid them considering backwards movement in this game might as well not exist. /s

Really appreciate that you redid the shading for the aliens that enter from the left. Not everyone puts that much thought in.

3 Ninjas and a Cat all the way just like NanakoM said. Same setup also works in Survival. Survival is basically a race to 30k before Wave 17 where they sik 3 of those minibosses from Wave 8 on ya at once. Just keep using your special and you'll make it no problem.

Hard badge guide: Get a team consisting of 3 ninjas and 1 cat. You'll need the "maelstrom" of firepower for the later waves. Put ALL your points from the beginning into the Candy stat, until you have it maxed out. After you've maxed out candy, upgrade at your own will. The only (optional) exception is a single point in Magnet to get those "hard-to-reach" candies. You'll need to kill 99% of the enemies and pick up 99% of all the candy to be able to rack up 30k points before wave 18. At wave 18, a plethora of mini-bosses will spawn and kill you relatively quickly - unless you're quick with the special and adept with dodging. A good milestone to have is 10k points at wave 10. Good luck.

for everyone complaining about the ninja imbalance, just man up and use other characters, why do you need the game to force you to make it harder...

Yeah, really need to balance this better so 4 ninjas doesn't just steamroll the game. Maybe make it so you can't have more than one of each class?
