to people who say 'ten seconds is not forever' read the notes-the point of the game
a great game, if a bit short. either way, the story is very deep, which leaves you guessing till the end

Loved it! I was expecting a man in a cave :S An octopus was a shocker. Still, loved everything about this game. And psycho_gamer, I dunno if you are gonna see this or not, but i think that the little orange guy set the octopus free at a young age. Or the octopus escaped. Oh well 5/5

so simple, yet an amazing game, the graphics fit the game perfectly, i don't know how he did it but Racter made what could have been a fail of a game into a masterpiece. Nice job Racter!!

This game is a true work of art. Its sad, yet breathtaking to come by and read every note, depicting a story of two friends. One who got lost in a sea of brightness, and another just catching on. Games like this should be celebrated.

At first I read the notes and thought we were playing some sort of game... and then I got to the months... and the years... and I was worried the "friend" was dead... this game is beautiful.

so the boy was jake elliot. he was taking hallucinogens. he thought he could hold his breath forever so he dived into a radioactive pool of glowing fish. inside the pool there were pockets of air where he could breathe. in every pocket there was a magic mushroom. jake mistook them for letters from his friend and ate them. soon, he reached the bottom of the pool and was eaten by Morbo. the end

kongregate seriously needs a separate section for philosophical games like this game, The Company of Myself, Don't Look Back, Loved, etc.

beautiful a touching, i thought it was a work of art. it can be interpreted in a million ways, so there isnt much point in debating them. i personally thought there were no extrordinary aspects to the tale (his friend mutating into an octopus, etc), but rather more like a childs dream is created, a totally unique idea. he has an octopus for a friend, who he was playing with one day. the octopus swam ahead long ago, and the child desperately wants to reunite with him. i think the actual passage of time in the game is only several minutes, the the octupus has been there for years, awaiting his friend...

SPOILER!!!!!!!! if this is hard, go from note to note with "N" and get to the note closest to the squid. Now swim to the squid.Even if your ten seconds are not up,the screen will go dark. the octopus is the guy's friend. Rate this up if it helped you so others can see it!!!!!!!

1)why were the years going by in minutes? was it actually true? Or was the friend hallucinating?
2) THOSE ARE SOME WIERD AIR POCKETS!!!
