Oh, from the "kolbas" reference I wasn't 100% sure, but now seeing that the witch is called "Rhonda Ghonos"; now I am happily reassured this game has Hungarian connections. Always a good thing to know. Keep up the good work! :)

there's a glitch in the game, sort of. When you're in the cell, and click the mousetrap you're standing behind the cell. But, if you then click the bars, you're standing out of it! o:

Before I say anything else, I love the nod to Leonardo..if that's not what it is..I'm too much of a nerd. It's got a charming atmosphere and really gorgeous artwork. The problem is just how ridiculously tough it is. I just don't know who is supposed to guess how to do most of this stuff. It gets hard pretty quickly, and once it does, good freakin luck.The second half of the game takes the difficulty, which is already high, and ramps it up to "No one in their right mind will ever figure any of this out" Also, it's really long for how insanely cryptic the puzzles are. This could have been a fantastic PaC if the puzzles weren't so damn hard. Weird ending.

I guess the warden is blind because he didn't see me throw a mouse out the jail cell tied to some string right next to him, get the mouse to spring the trap, and then tie some string onto the trap and get a chisel out and then walk through a wall covered by a poster and escape. This town is in need of a better warden.

So i load the game after a day, and not only do the animations not play anymore but I seem to have every item I ever collected. Makes me rethink the five star i gave :/
I uploaded a new version with bugfixes and sometimes this procedure causes the saved games to reset. This is beyond my control. Sorry about the inconvenience.

This game was fun. Also liked the references to Hungary. :D
Nick Toldy = Toldi Miklós, a hero of the Toldi trilogy by Arany János, also a hungarian folklore hero.
Rhonda Ghonos = Ronda Gonosz = Ugly Evil.
Bringa = a hungarian slang term for bicycle.
Trau-Bee = Traubi, a soft drink produced in Hungary, Austria and Croatia.
Kolbas = kolbász = sausage

You know what I hate? I hate it when certain options are only available once something else has been done although these things do not depend on each other. It is clear that you need something to fish, so why can't I combine the spear and the string? How does the worm suddenly make this combination possible? But seriously, this game is great. The art is amazing, the puzzles are logical and Nick's comments always provide useful hints. The whole style reminds me of those old adventures, with their humour and their crazy but always logical puzzles. I'm really looking forward for the next game. Two things I would like to see, though. Double clicking on a location makes the character run/go there in an instant and voice acting! Why tease me with the intro and then not continue with it? 5/5 and fav'ed. Great job!

An auto-save feature would be great. I just clicked a Kongregate's link outside the game's window and lost a lot of progress, which pissed me off.

Some of the things you have to find, like the Bend Rail at the very end, are quite difficult to find without moving your mouse all over the place. If there was a hint button, or if the items you could pick up were a different colour/glowing, then it wouldn't be so hard.

The game was often stupidly difficult, if only because I was trying to do things that I knew would work (namely because they did later) before I was supposed to. For example, I tried to combine the spear and the string because I thought that, seeing as I couldn't spear the fish, a fishing pole would work. But, even though I had these to implements, and the hook as well, I couldn't get the item because I lacked the worm. If I was able to make the fishing pole before hand and then been like, hmm it needs bait apparently, maybe the apple would work, the game would have been much less irritating.

Good game, but many combinations were illogical. [2] It's really frustrating when you try to combine X with Y, and you can't, but after using Z you MUST combine X with Y... =/

The Witch's name is "Rhonda Ghonos" which is english phonetic for hungarian "Ronda Gonosz". that means "Bad and Ugly" as we call witches usually. Nice touch ;) BTW is the story somewhat related to the legend of Miklós Toldy?

There is a bug in mines, if you blow a hole first before fixing the furnace it wont let you fix the furnace, thus you wont get items needed to kill the dragon, thus wont allowing you to finish the game and you have to restart all of adventure...

I used the 'old rug' on the leaky pipe and it said it worked but when I turned on the pipe the steam came back. Now I have no rug in my inventory... def don't think I can complete the game now...

Overall, it's a pretty awesome game. I think the ending is definitely worth the time I put in trying to find out I needed to combine a slice of buttered bread with a cat. :) 5/5

Fantastic game, reminds me alot on old school monkey islands, indiana jones etc adventures. They just dont make games like that anymore. Cat and bread - brilliant.

A good game with decent voice acting. It reminded me of the monkey islands which I love. My only problem with the game was apparently my brightens was to low and I could not even see the crank and had to watch a walkthrew to figure out what to do. Keep up the great work.
