I was a bit disappointed with my first unity games. Then I remembered i wanted to try this game and at first it was, "Good TD but these dont even seem to need a special player download." Then I tried the first person manual control and I shat bricks. The graphics were... special. And the good kind too. It felt way too good to be a flash game.

I specifically like the artillery gun because it has a secondary cannon on the bottom :P
So while I hammer the big air baddehs, the smaller turret can whoop them on the ground ^_^

love the game although everytime i play it in mozilla it seems to take away my ability to move away from page would get a solid 5/5 if not for this, so it must get a 4/5. still good game

New units could include stealth bombers, which are easily visible, but cannot be targeted automatically- controlled guns have to be used. This could create the problem of "What if I ran out of ammo?" but oh well. New commander ideas could include a sniper which is you. This means a really hyper powered, super slow cannon which can decimate the enemy, but has a long cooldown. If you could find a way to add a controllable plane to be used as commander which has fast burning fuel instead of ammo, that would be an amazing final, most expensive, commander. Perhaps Frank gets a tank at max upgrade, Sam a car with a minigun on it and Katrina a controlalble plane, all of which can run out of fuel. That would be awesome. I know this is just a beta (alpha?) but yeah, 5/5 for potential.

Well, Bloons has a worthy rival. Awesome.
I'd love this more if Sam's ammo drained just a little slower- the other two are fine.
Achievements would be nice, both in-game and on Kong, but more importantly- the commanders need upgrades that carry on through each and every level. As KillerKoala says, more commanders, which are locked at the beginning, as well as new weapons, would be wonderful. There also needs to be better music, louder sound effects for blowing things up, and , most importantly, MAKE THINGS MORE VISUAL. What this game has that no other game does is the fantastic visual side to it, which could be done better. Allow zooming in when in control (as an unlockable upgrade, preferably) and make things brighter. Make things more real.

Only problem with this good game is that it's too short. If you can fix the issue of the repair and upgrade icon appearing/overlapping that would be nice. In close quarters u can sell one tower by mistake. Any idea of a sequel.
There have been lots of improvements, I'd say this game has 2 more major beta releases before I'd call it done. The upgrading and selling will be improved significantly. Regarding the match length, that's a tough one, since I've heard complaints both ways (too short/too long), but no matter what the newer versions will have more variation in the match, so it won't feel as long as it does now.

Different kind of "normal" guns like shotguns and snipers. Also if we were able to walk around on the ground and dodge the cars while shooting would be fun :D

This game was amazing, hands down. I loved it, but there are a few minor complaints. I wish building height was more noticeable when you built, as I found that it was annoying to get the placements just correct. All in all, I want this game to be finished. It's still amazing, has great potential, and has truly blown my mind.

Excellent and innovative. Well done. Keep improving it, and turn it into a full game! I agree with some of the other comments. If one could recruit new commanders with different skills and turret types for your team of 3, it could become /very/ interesting. A few minor gripes, however. There seem to be some minor balancing issues. The artillery doesn't appear to do nearly the damage one would expect for the cost and more difficult placement due to their large size, and the missiles are a bit too slow to keep up with the standard guns damagewise for airborne targets. There are also a couple of bugs to report. I'll message you those, so that folks don't exploit them. ;)

I quote the remark about Defence Grid, a tower defense game I love as well. Very innovative to be able to enter the towers! Next to the GemCraft series, could well be a game I love to play!!
It's a rough beta of course, still some ideas:
- make left-clicking on towers show the range, etc.
- maybe add something like xp to the commanders (make it a TD-FPS-RPG combo?)
- although this might be asking a lot from your coding skills, I can imagine some form of co-op and other multiplayer options would be awesome. You could also add the commander idea to the 'enemy waves' and make a commander + enemy waves versus a commander + tower defense game? :-D

Great concept, excellent game, I loved it. The futuristic style is nice, and the music fits. The UI's a little unpolished, but that's fine, especially since this is still a beta.
It'd be great if manual firing still worked without ammo, just with reduced firepower. When you know your defenses will hold it's fun to hop in and shoot without worrying about things like running dry.

just a few minor tweaks an this is the best TD game I've ever played... heck probably without any tweaks it is. Really like the ability to hop in a gun and bang away, though the commanders weapons are almost too strong lol. Anyways, hope to see more and soon!

fantastic concept! only moderately good implementation.
must haves: minimap in manual-tower-control view (so you know what else is coming, and also which DIRECTION you're facing - add a corresponding line-of-sight wedge to the map), smarter targetting AI (target the unit closest to exit/longest time on board, rather than... whatever it's doing now), less obtrusive buildings (i.e. just make the turret hover higher over the edges), an indicator that a usable building has been used (currently the animation keeps going even if the thing has been activated and is recharging), and for heaven's sake a low-quality mode for those of us with ancient machines. i think that about covers it - fixing these things in will make a pretty awesome game into kong's all-time best!

what i think would make it more entertaining would be to make an upgrade system that gives you like 2 options to make more variety in the towers. have like an option to be a sniper tower or a machine gun tower etc.

This is the best tower defense I have ever encountered. However, I cry at the fact that my crappy computer lags with its intenseness. Would it be possible to get a quality control or something to that effect on this?

pretty good for the turrets and game play but sometimes the buildings get in your way and you can hit the ground targets maybe a update later on would make this game unbelieable

This game is now to action/TD fans what Builder is to stretegy/zombie fans. Epic Win, with only more Epicness en route with bugfixes.

I forgot to respond to something from MagSun, the simulation is a bit broken, and does not resolve correctly at high speeds right now. I've made some mistakes in the simulation stuff, and will fix that. Also, yea, the AA missiles are a bit annoying too, they're currently handled 'realistically', in that they look at their target's velocity and such and attempt to intersect it. While this looks cool and all, it's not cool if they miss the target, like, ever. I'll likely make some adjustments and widen the range for a direct hit on enemies, so that the AA weapons will detonate closer to smaller enemies, should fix that.

I'm aware of macs not having right clicks, but now alt-click should act as right click (just updated a few hours ago). However, I don't have a mac, so can't really test how well it works there. Also, if there's a more common way to handle similar things on macs, let me know, and I'll try to emulate.

it is really fun that it is in 3-D so that some of your towers cant hit the ememys all the time. the ability to take control of a towers is so much fun and it adds so many possibilitys to the game. taking down a plan with the bomb tower is just so much fun. The fact that the machine gun towers have to reload is annoying but make it seem more real. All in all this is my favorite game tower defence game!
