I couldn't give it 4.5, so i gave it 5 :-P
BEST GAME I'VE PLAYED YET!!
totally makes sense to be on the staff picks..
the song is SO creepy, though..

I just finished it, and considering that I started yesterday it don't take as long as it seems (5-6h). Two areas was hard to understand for me: the one with gray circles in it - on level 72 I figured out its a minimap, sometimes can save live. The second one looks like cog - I haven't realized how it works even after beating all levels. Now about the game... what can I say, it totally captivated me.

The terrain affecting your shots is a great idea and the power-ups are brilliant. Especially the death ray, though it's hard to aim. After I got several of them, it was basically a net of death.

Great idea, but the no-click idea goes a little too far with the pause/options menu - it keeps popping up while I'm firing and accidentally hovering over my ship. Put it in the corner instead?

3/5 Too luck based for me. There is skill required but on some of these levels if the first few circles don't drop a useful area its game over.

The first time I played it, I didn't know what to do and got bored. I came back now and just realised how good this game is. It's simplistic yet so confusing, no text to explain anything and even the tutorial is unclear. But that's what makes this game so good, you have to discover everything by yourself. The combination of the lack of text, the black and white scheme and the music gives it a surreal and mysterious feeling.

One of the best shooter games on Kongregate. Any flash game that's just as long and fun as a movie gets a 5 star from me.

This game is amazing. You figure out the rules as you go along, so it's actually sort of a puzzle-shooter hybrid. To compare the feeling, it's like assembling several identical pieces of furniture, without the instructions. The first one you make will probably have something horribly wrong, but then you apply what you learned to the next one you build. A few identical pieces of furniture later, you've figured out how it is supposed to be built, without the instructions. Then you're given a slightly different piece of furniture to assemble, and now you have to figure something new out using what you learned before, and through a bit of experimentation. I don't know if what I said does justice to this game though, so: tl;dr play this game! (don't worry about the annoying shooting mechanic [requiring the mouse to constantly be in motion] from the first few levels, it does NOT stay the same)

There's a difference between unique minimalism and just...annoying because you can't figure a damn thing out. ..Even the instructions have to be cryptic. It shows you muting music..but I have no idea how to still..or how to shoot.I just randomly let off a few shots...stop and get killed.

I decreased my 5/5 score for originality to a 4/5. The last 4 levels are based on 100% luck of whether or not you encounter those balls before they grow too much to kill them. Still nice, but damn... I'm so glad I finally got the hard badge.

I love everything about this game. But the thing i love the moste is that u can combine the ring power thingys. Very sloppy art but yet very beautiful and relaxing.

There are only two games I have encountered with this control scheme (this one included), and both are unique and highly enjoyable. Their gameplay is also quite disparate. I wonder why people make so many games that are identical to others as supposed to actually innovative things like this.
I love this game, creepy music and all.

Gave it a second chance, and I must admit that I LOVE this game. Quite a sloppy start, but once you get hooked you can't stop :p at first I thought this game was way too long, but now I'm glad it is :)

Actually a nice game. But quite long, really. And did not like the music. But still 4/5 because it it really creative and actually not boring at all.

As soon as you start go shoot and kill all the small circles you can find, as fast as posible. If one gets too big, don't waste time on it. So you can get as many powerups as you can.
I made to level 70 in one go. And for level 50...good luck...you're going to need it, lol just try to hit them as fast as you can.

That moment when you are almost dead but the timer BARELY finishes as 1 more second would have killed you. *breathes sigh of relief* The music captures my terror

Only on level 13 and, unfortunately, I have to go, however this game is great so far. Infuriatingly difficult in the beginning, then you slowly start to figure out what is happening, and it gets easy, until a new quirk is thrown in and you have that to figure out. Obviously alot of thought has gone into this game, and I will definitely be coming back.

Excellent game! :3 Many times I've just had a sliver left and am getting pressed closer and closer and I just need a biiiit mooooooreeee tiiiime. Last couple levels were especially evil. Well made nonstandard game. Once you get on a roll, there's nothing that can stop you!

This game compared to most other games feels like the comparison between a book and a picture. One has a whole lot of words in it to tell you an exact thing, the other is a puzzle that you have to fit together before you can begin to understand it. 5/5, by far one of the most interesting games I've seen on Kongregate.

There was a moment on level 74 where I thought for sure I had lost. I sat in a Reinforcer area, prolonging my demise with bullets everywhere. Then suddenly, all the areas started to back off. I had no clue what happened. I went to investigate. And then I knew I had grasped victory. Areas and tokens everywhere. I felt godlike within the game. I was untouchable for the rest of the level. And thus ends my journey for that badge. A truly magnificent game.

If you can get through levels 46 and 70 (which rely heavily on luck), anything else isn't too bad... All in all, enjoyable and different game!

This is one of those games that I can't decide if I really enjoy it or not, but it has me hooked so there is no use trying to figure it out just yet...
