I gave it 4 stars on the art style alone :) Game felt rather unbalanced overall, after the first few days it pretty much became a requirement to abuse the way the game worked to survive (hiding behind gates etc.) otherwise it was quite a fun game!

I found last bow to be more usless for high range as there seems to be minium range also. I had to run huge way to hit with 1 arrow, so mobs went down with sword mostly.

I liked it, but that's it. Gameplay gets boring quickly, run away-? stomp->mash->repeat. Upgrades are limited to weapons and character, nothing gamebreaking, not even reason to go for middle level weapons, difference is so small that you can easly save for top one. Bulding tower and other stuff seems fine, but there is no logic to it - stuff drops, pick it up, and when you got enough something will get upgraded. Good potential, but wasted.

Only thing I really dislike is that there are some zombies that can hit you from just inside your minimum range for the bow but are out of range of your melee, would like to have min range removed from the bow.

It's an alright game but the things that annoy me are the zombies appearing right under my feet and the fact that once I kill all the zombies that's it for the day, no more collecting resources.

Fun game to play real quick and all. Only if the weapons on your tower did more, the king went faster (even upgrading it all the way still felt slow) and if leveling up meant something like stat increase. Still fun good game though

Its so stupid to have the next button like it is. Its annoying to double click and not be able to upgrade being forced to go through a level again to upgrade. This caused me to repeat level 8 like 5-6 times because my weapons was way to low

This game is broken in so many ways AND boring. Ending was a huge anticlimax too. Limited controls, limited variety and difficulty curve, unnecessary upgrades, meaningless choices all over the place.

Other than it taking me a while to understand why my bow was missing, I thought the game was pretty intuitive and fun. I don't see a lot of replay value, but I also wanted to comment that I liked the style of the art.

If you dont buy weapons as they become available, for example save money to get better one, at the you wont be able to get achievement for getting all the weapons as Continue button will repeadaty show you the ending animation :( pls fix this.

can't find shop button. can it only be accessed after successful completion of a level? would also be nice if there was a "reset upgrade" button. fun stuff, though.

Run far left beat all zombies until their is only one zombie left.
Run off and bust open as many crates as you can.
If the crate spawns in the area with your one zombie, stomp it run past collect your crate, stomp the zombie again and go collect your next crate.
Repeat until the crates stop spawning.
Congratulations you have enough gold, gold stars and resources to be awesome!

There is a small bug when getting hit, if a zombie spawns on top of you they can instakill you because there is not an "invulnerable-fade" but nevertheless a great game! keep up the good work

4/5. The only problem the outrageous speed. Even with maximum speed is boring to go from one side to another. You could increase the speed both for the zombies and the king, so that they are relatively the same.

Dear Sir Ridlake, This game is the finest castle defense game, but there is one missing button that we need , the jump button... if u can kindly put the jump button in.. Zombie at the Gates will be the mose coolest castle defense game. in kongregate. 5/5 to the game ^_^

The number of crates that spawn every day is always 5. The placement and number of ore/lumber is always the same every day, though sheep seems random. Crates that spawn in the center area are always normal crates; crates with metal corners spawn after the boat/bouncy spring area and gold crates spawn after the bridge. Iron crates take the same number of hits but give better loot than normal crates, gold crates has more hitpoints but gives a lot more loot.

Short and very well made game. Would have liked to see a little more. Trick to getting caught in the gate...stun and shoot the far ones, then stun and run through and shoot the ones that were on you at the gate. :D Hope that helps some.

A little low on the difficulty setting... weapons don't matter in the slightest, just speed the game up a bit. The arrows from the tower breaking stun is terrible, and there's a hit detection issue, so a hippie zombie spawning under you as you move that's knocked back where you're moving does 3 hearts of damage (the only 3 hearts I took that level QQ). Other than that it's really fine... just needs more oomph and difficulty.
