Go full attack, the belly slam (SAA) combo stuns and outranges ever other melee attack in the game, and interrupts any currently loading enemy attack animations. You just hit one guy with it once then sprint or walk within range again and repeat. You can combo the boss to death easily without taking any damage because your belly cancels everything he tries to do. 2 ez

Ahh figured it out -- I was doing combos wrong -- I figured an S attack followed by an a attack and an a attack... no it is saa FAST...

SAA does not seem to be working for me -- I mean getting off an S on the boss is like very hard. I am up to level 40 from all the tries and I keep getting killed. Is there any stats distribution that will help?

@kurei13, you are saying that fighting was primitive (3 moves, 6 spells, magic has some issues too). I kinda agree on that, but maybe we could also say that game is easy and still gives "few ways to beat it". I personally have beaten the game in rather weak, but good looking equip (Arrr, that's pirate life for me!), using mostly only one of aforementioned skills and almost no magic, while dumping all skill points in agility, luck and sometimes attack ;) Someone else could probably try to beat it with magic, or some other skill, etc.

only reason i played this game for 5 minutes was because of the daily achievement thing... maybe if there was more options or fighting style I would have played longer. srry. this game was close... but not ready for submission. maybe if there wasn't even a tease of magic. don't put magic in the game if you havn't thought it through

how does mana work? being a mage pretty much blows! i would love it if I could do anything about the mana I have... so far it have to hope that a mana pot drops from an enemy this is rediculous.

This game is sooo easy -- until the end. And it's freakin annoying that you have to kill the four beavers at the beginning every time.

Fighting was primitive (3 moves, 6 spells, magic has some issues too), enemies vary little in weaponry/tactics. I liked how I could succeed with a fast glass cannon build that never upgraded defense/vitality/magic. From what I healed with no magic stat I`d assume tank/damage sponge build or a hit & run build (since foes hit slowly) would work too. Props for equips showing on char, old items with big single attribute buffs staying relevant later-on for min-max builds or people salvaging a failed build instead of forced grinding (+vitality charm just before the boss says hi). Stat reset would have been nice (curious trying out builds, but the replay value is too low to actually do so). A newgame-plus which retains the Level & adds a hardmode option would be nice. Some potential, bonus star for cutscenes/humor/music = 3/5 rating. Could be 4/5, but there was lag whenever I pulled 3+ enemies into combat for challenge or to set-up combos/areaspells

I don't understand why this little beaver idiot, who is so frequently killed by flaming spear-arrow things, doesn't have the brains to PICK UP one of said weapons. They're clearly more effective than anything he has. Sorry little beaver, but such stupidity tends to indicate that you deserve your fiery fate.

Awesome game. Artwork is good, animation is good enough, some humor to keep up the mood, and game can give users a challenge. This is what kind of game I like! :)
Only one suggestion: Make the users be able to fix up a stat (remove with the minus sign and add with the add sign) so if they make a mistake, they can fix it! :D
Rating: 4.5/5 :)

Earlier I posted a complaint about the long range guys, and the melee guys blocking until you get hit from behind/etc. Figured I'd mention this, that makes the game playable:
Belly-bash attack goes through blocks.

It's a pretty funny game. Only real gripe is how easy it is for the ranged enemies to dodge you basically forever (weapon swing, he changes direction, miss). Sadly, that takes the fun out of it as you can't attack the melee'ers, because you'll get exploded by the ranged, and you can't attack the ranged, because they just run away.

I think a good suggestion could've been using pine cones for points. By the time I reached the last level I'd bought everything and still had over 800 cones left. So pretty much they became useless.

*NOTE TO NEW PLAYERS* Don't expect to live off of attack & defense, I had 60+ defense & 35 attack, I didn't stand a chance.

Hint for beating boss: just dash on him and when you are in his reach - attack him with [S+A+A] before he attacks you. This will break his attack and push him back, all you need is good timing. Keep attacking him this way and he's helpless, then finish him off in some stylish way, like dashing behind his back and stabbing him or treating with some spell ;)

I find S+A+A most useful attack, allowing to easily keep distance from enemy and push them around. If you play craftily and avoid attacks, you don't really need vitality and defence at all - I kept stacking Agility + Luck + Attack for entire game and for personal pleasure - beat it in Pirate's Hat, Pirate's Shield, Ninja's Outfit + Katana. How great it just looks for me! ^_^

The funniest thing is that Bold goes on an epic quest all around the world when he just could have cut through the pine woods.

I found it much easier to beat the final boss by just giving him hard hits, and then running and healing. Just seems quite difficult to even land a power hit on him.

I built my beaver with defense/vit, only to discover that defense is more or less useless in this game. Just stack vit/magic as they are by far the most useful to beat the last boss easily, then use the first spell to get close to him. Attack/luck might be ok to get through the levels quickly
