playing this more, there is something I really like about being able to manage the initial state before the point squares show up. It is like a bow before the match begins. I always try to make them crash into each other and then move away.
One thing that I think could be played up with the aesthetics more is the difference in movement, how the enemies can move in any direction, but the avatar can only move in 8. This might not be an intentional decision, but it would be cool to have that illustrated in some way. Maybe leave the enemy trails the same, but the player creates a kind of subway map through the level.

excellent, re: joystick... yeah with unity on mac, the axis inputs are sometimes mapped strange, but since you just have two inputs you might be able to just grab all of the axis? I haven't had too much difficulty with it.

would it be possible to add controller support for this? I don't know if that is possible with the unity webplayer or not.
I will be looking at adding gamepad support soon. A quick google suggests it should work with the web player, but there may be issues with some gamepads on mac.

@Pandimo: No, it's a reference to a physics problem, where (IIRC), the essence of the problem is that calculating the motion of bodies in space becomes nearly infinitely complex beyond two bodies, hence the 'three body problem'.

until there is a mute button, 1 star... developers need to add mute buttons if they have loud and obnoxious... or ANY, sound effects

This game seems very nice with its very simple concept and beautiful arts. But I think the opponent's speed should increase progressively because it's way too hard at the beginning.
While the enemy buzz is usually a barely audible rumble on the pregame screen, it did happen to be considerably louder than usual when I read this comment. I don't know what would cause it to do that sometimes, but it should be a fairly simple change for me to just turn off that sound during the pregame. Thanks for the feedback!

I love this game. It's a really wonderful tense dance of death and I start to shake and grin as my score gets higher. Very well done.
