I don't feel the benefit of upgrading at all. like i just lose all my node power and get an upgrade that gives me more connections but no noticable power change. Tentacle wars is better for this reason alone. I'm on level 25 still working out how this game works...
I agree that upgrading is not perfectly balanced, but I can't change it anymore because otherwise I would have to re-balance all levels. It will be much better in the sequel ;).
PVP would be nice but you need servers for matchmaking as well as all the matchmaking features. I will look into GameCenter to support matchmaking on iOS in on of the later updates ;).

the upgrade is great, there is a massive difference in GPU-1 and GPU-3(you can see it in GPU-2), and the high-speed if it is at level 3 it sends 10-20 energies per second, but only few at level 1, and the RAM is good too (although i use it only as another source of energy), the only thing missing (might seriosly unbalance the game) is double production rate.
Great game 5/5 from me.

Biggest weakness of this game is being unable to play Hard or Absurd right away. Playing throught normal was painfully boring because it was WAY too easy. I mean its obvious how nice the game is, but god, can we have a little bit of challenge?
Then once i finally unlock hard after beating every levels easily, the first 10 levels have been even easier than when i started playing normal (because i learned the game). Come on =/
Just let those harder modes be unlocked right from the start so people can actually have some challenge whitout having to complete a bunch of super easy levels.
Other than that its a pretty awesome game, i would love to see a multiplayer mode of this.
You are right and wrong at the same time. I have a lot of ppl telling me that the game is far to hard and vice versa. I have a good idea how to change that in the sequel. You will be able to get stars for each level, when beating the next difficulty, this should make it much more convenient for all player levels. Thanks for the feedback! :)

there needs to be a summary page for instructions. I am not sure what benefot i get from upgrading... it seems to be of no benefit early on and then later i don't know how to use it to my advantage.

Great game! I felt that there was little strategy to the upgrade system though, as most games in normal and medium were over too quick to bother upgrading anything. I'm on to hard now....

finnaly got absured done:D where is the submit button for kongregate, when i hit submit it is just single level to mochi, got one more suggestion, should add another option or somthing so its easier to work with laptop(like use keys to select and attack) but make it one or the other not both because i think that would make it more complicated

Possible Suggestions: Custom Difficulty, Level Editor, Changable Colour (Not needed but I get a bit bored of blue), hope I helped
Those are good ideas, especially the custom difficulty. Leveleditor is already in place for the sequel, just have to polish it a bit more. Changeable color is also a good idea.

I was thinking nodes being fought over should have a contested state. It could be done a few ways, like one side needs to stock the node with +X before it becomes theirs. So if you lose a node and it's being fought over, no one can control it until someone gets the upper hand.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
make it easier to submit highscores(cant seem to find it) and make it so its easier to tell whether or not you are connected to the node when you drag before you capture it(like your men are on the way)

I can't play absurd now, and i've already deleted my progress when checking for absurd mode before recent changes to the game were made.

i see a lot of complaints as to the +5 when you capture a node, heres a suggestion, instead of giving +5 to a captured node, give the node invulnerability for 1 second, this way you cant take advantage of it offensively, as you wont have anything inside the node to begin with. Also over the next 4 seconds (use a glowing effect) increase that nodes defencive abilities by around 4x, which over the 4 second duration slowly returns to normal. This allows even far away nodes to have a chance to support a newly captured node, whilst forcing players to put in some defence so as to "how long should i wait before i recapture"

Indeed the element of tactics is lost as the game gets to the point where it required a fast eye and hand and little time to think--constantly making split second decisions. But then again that's probably because I never release the space bar when playing :D
4/5!
I agree, have to think about mechanics which reduce the skill of having to make fast connections and increase the necessity of making strategic decisions.

4/5 Great game, I like the different nodes and the AI feels kinda ok. My only issue is the +5 units you get every time you conquer a base. That means punching a hole in the enemy defenses is not only good (which it should be), but almost always a guarantee to win, since you get awarded even more units for the consecutive conquers. I have the feeling, it's a bit too much slippery slope there making come-backs never happen. It feels less strategic and more chaotic that way imho.
Thanks for your great feedback. I might fix this with in one of the upcoming versions, cause I want to know if the new solution would work better for a sequel :):

Oh, come on man! I've already finished the game on normal and hard, and now i cannot play on absurd without completing both of them the second time!? Why?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The fact you get +5 every time you take a base is frustrating at first, and makes games too easy once you learn how to take advantage of it.

You misunderstood my last comment about AI killing the player first. The AI does not have to target the player intentionally to put the player at a big disadvantage. Level 25 is a good example of how attacking early reduces the chance of winning even though the AI's do not specifically target the player. This problem gets really bad on level 27 when there are too many attacks on you possible, and makes the level heavily based on luck instead of your superior management. Still, I like your attention to all the comments. One more star for you.
Ok understood. But to be honest there is not much of luck in the game. The game always behaves the same, no randomness at all. If you understand how the AI is playing its easy to win. The biggest issue with the game is the dumb AI, that's why the game gets too fast in the end and it doesn't feel as strategic as I actually wanted it... In the sequel I will focus on making the AI much stronger but with reduced speed, so that it should feel much more tactical.

What did you change for absurd mode? I noticed the comp was a little better at mounting a quick defense, but other than that it felt fairly similar to hard. Any AI upgrades are great. I like the timed HS improvement.
You are right, absurd mode is currently not that absurd if you understood how the AI is working. I will test some other AI settings to make the mode a little less predictable.

On my old monitor both blue team colors look almost exactly the same. Makes it hard to distinguish them. Maybe could go with 4 colors instead of just two?

Playing on easy and finding it soooo difficult to win. Each level is a struggle, why have so many difficulty settings and still have easy be hard?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game is so pathetic. An ugly, unpolished version of past winners. 4 difficulty settings, yet I have to repeatedly play the same levels over and over just to win. Big FAIL on this game. Huge failure.

I love all the new updates! However, I have just finished level 30 again (by loading a completed game) and have had no luck submitting a high score.

Are the power scales tipped against the user? I am having trouble defeating my opponents even when they have non-upgraded nodes vs my +2 or +3 upgraded nodes.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
even if a harder difficulty is made, there is still the issue of playing the same maps over again, maybe if u made a custom game mode which allowed people to make their own scenarios and post them for everyone to try and rate, it could help improve customization. Another idea would be to have tag teams.

My first run with this game didn't get saved. I started over and now it's saving correctly. Using FF btw. Loving this game.

I think the issue players are having with level 2 is the tutorial. Sometimes you can't advance past certain tutorial dialogues unless you hit the 'skip tutorial' button. That button isn't very obvious, so it's easy to see how people would miss it.
Other recommendation is to consider a level beaten when all AI opponents are defeated, instead of needing to conquer all the blank components on the board. Having to play that kind of moping-up action isn't particularly exciting.

Stuck on 23 cause green AI sucks ballz....if i go aggresive to orange purple will own the place if i go aggresive to purple orange will own the place ...i start with a ram level with 200 power againist 3 rams with 300 power....unbalanced to hell=.=

@Xoz444 Wait till you get to level 26 on hard. It's like trying to open a can with a pair of scissors. Just when you think you've got something going, boom, you're screwed.

I friggin love this game though.
