Ahh, the world of epic war, where armies attacked by dragging a fully-sized castle within 50 yards of the other castle.

A function that allows you to hold down the button instead of pressing it to recruit troops would be fantastic. Like how you can autofire arrows by holding down A. Also, the troops appear to have some sort of cooldown. It would be nice to know what the cooldown is in the troops' descriptions, and also have a visual aid on the button to show the cooldown timer.

FUN FACT: Thunder and lightning are NOT the same thing. Thunder is actually the sound emitted from a series of sonic booms created by an atmospheric electrical discharge (i.e. a lightning bolt) as it tears through the airwaves.

I'm reading the story for Chapter 3 right now and already my head is spinning. I'll start from chapter 1. If the king is consumed by shadows, why did he give you a ragtag army to fight off the rebels, his at the moment greatest enemy, when, as the rebel leader later puts it,"He can turn his squires into powerful knights!" Then, after you are "kidnapped" by the rebel leader, he asks for your help. Forcefully taking you and then threatening your life is not a great way to gain trust. Also, why does he ask you if you know the history of the war? Of course you do. You're only the great commander of the king himself. Finally, at the point when the rebel leader's soldier breaks in and tells him the news of the invasion, why then? the walls have been breached and the catapults and trebuchets destroyed. Why did they then think "Oh, hey, you know what would be great right now? Our commander." I have more, but I'm out of space. This story needs to be much less flawed.

Archer Captain: "Remember archers, fire in the exact same way. Even if a hobbit is running your way, just keep on firing above their heads! If they start attacking you, JUST KEEP ON FIRING GODDAMNIT!

Oh wow. I literally jumped when it loaded. I pushed play and forgot that I had my volume up from a YouTube video. Nearly dieded xD

You see, Killbots have a preset kill limit. Knowing their weakness, I sent wave after wave of my own men at them, until they reached their limit and shut down.

This would be amazing if there was voice acting and auto scroll for the story parts. Not many people care for just reading words..

This is absolutely ridiculous. So when you damage enemy castle, spawn an angel that can damage your castle from the other side of the map? For a huge amount of damage? Which attacks so rapidly my ranged units don't even get a shot - _ -

I think the sole purpose of Totem orcs is to obliterate most of your army from the other side of the map. Maybe I should have bought wizard instead of focusing on my archers and tower.

@takashi - I've only been playing a few minutes but it seems to me you have to unlock all your upgrades... wait to gain all the mana you want all you'll ever get is more squires

bbrtki, you should learn to appreciate good quality games. First off: IT'S IN THE DAMN INSTRUCTION: ZERO TO AUTOFIRE!!!! You press one button, it autofires. Secondly, this game is an extremely good game as it combines really nicely well drawn figures and art, the bowshooting as from Bowmaster Prelude - which is one of the oldest, and also one of the best games ever on flash - with sending units to the enemy castle as in Age of War, plus a really really enjoyable and balanced upgrade system. Plus the story, which you probably skipped, is unique. I love the work of Sudarto and I love the Epic War series. One I do like better then the other but this one is definitely one of my favourites. The division of grinding and difficulty is btw also well-ballanced.

how about autofire,.. absolutely a shit game though, i must agree - no depth,. no diversity,. just spam summon button and bash face on keyboard.. disgusting this is even on kong, let alone a daily badge.

So it REALLY doesn't help that it won't tell us how much mana we need to upgrade; we can't hover over something until it turns blue. Which means, in the first three levels, that nearly never happens - if ever. You're at a severe disadvantage the moment they start sending out those heavier units and healers.

If you like pounding buttons and getting steamrolled when there is nothing you can do to stop it this is perfect for you. Otherwise stay away. As far away as possible. One star game for me.

I didn't like this game at all, the fighting took too long and you rarely had an advantage, after half an hour of playing i ended up not being able to even touch the third castle, in the same map area. 1 star at best.
