after playing all 5 parts of the series this week for badges, I have to say this is by far the worst installment. There are two reasons: 1) It is soooo tedious: Everything moves like a glacier, you have to upgrade all techs all the way in most of the levels. you cant even do it AFK like in 3,4,5 where, aside from trials, you can tell your troops to attack and then go read a book, because even on full arrow sometimes fast troopes get under your tower. 2) the waves stack: if you are overwhelmingly stronger you still have to just send out a few guys so you dont trigger 2-5 waves at the same time and get overrun.

Very slow game, very but very slow and heavy to pass it...
In addition, it had an excessively high difficulty, almost touching the impossible in the last levels...
It is the worst chapter of the saga in my humble opinion...
Still I recommend playing it ;)

Wow, I found a good farming strategy that gives you 6k pretty quick (around 2 minutes). First you need the hobbits, who you get by reading all instructions/statistics/credits then saving. After that, go to level 6, choose any civilization, kill the orcs there until you have around 150/200 mana then start spamming hobbits. This finishes them quickly and you end up with 6k, as previously stated. The hobbits might die sometimes though, so be prepared for that.

This game is not very good. It's kind of insane that your opponents can put out 5 titans at once at a time where you can only have a maximum of 1 and it takes 100% of your mana. Just stupid and unfair. And why does EVERY game start like you have nothing unlocked? That defeats the purpose of an RPG.

It's nice to see how much the Titans are useful on this game, forcing you use them to win. But on Epic War 3 and 4 they're useless, they die fast and takes long time to born. That's a point I like in this game, THE TITANS ARE USEFUL!

my second favorite game in the serie, behind epic war 3. It's a pity they did not enjoy this style in more games in the serie.

In level 6, you can wait for 150 mana and start spamming hobbits to win easily. Kinda works in level 9 too, but try not to think about that. (the counterwave)

Rudy Suddarto is honestly a sellout. I respected his craft for a while until I realized he sold out. He trashed Epic War when he dropped 1 and 2 to make 3 a mobile game. After 3 it was down hill from there. Now he just makes them mobile games for micro transactions.

What are you guys holding “A” down with? I was using 3 nickels in-between 2 dice held together with rubber bands but suddenly I needed to hold down "S" as well! so I taped the two dice together then taped a large sinker ontop to hold down both the a and s since I needed more weight for 2 thank god its not a mechanical keyboard... worked really well wasn't wobbly like first setup. Only had to lift it and put it down for a sec on each new level. Can't believe I played through it all in one sit down I stayed up all night its nearly 7:30 am ... enjoyed most of it though.....good memories.

honestly, this was the best Epic war. The concept had been perfected, and...Honestly, I preferred this format to the army only format.

I found an EXPLOIT at the final boss: the final boss does not attack, if it can only hit major units (Red Dragon upwards). I tested it with like 5 Angels, 1 Red Dragon and 4 Forest Guardians and he didnt attack and didnt go forward, so if you are really having trouble there, you can just only send the big units and you should be fine.

I have passed the 16th stage (demon toad) with humans: just maximize mana, spam hobits and send as much wizards as you can, I have sent few archangels too

for me, the Epic War series started with this one. not because of the immense army or the difficulty, but because of the STORY behind it. i felt like the developer wanted to create a story to match the name of the game, and it worked, but, from this point on, the story has fallen from epic, to little more then a tale told by a bard bad at memorizing things.

i kinda wish they would do a remake of this game. specifically this one. being able to upgrade races, and defend your castle with troops and artillery, plus the immense size of the story, make this one my favorite out of all the current ones ive played. sad side note, due to aged PC, i cant play #6.

easier strategy than arda's: fend off with 2-3 paladins/beast riders/protectors, hold the line with the arrow tower, build up the mana pool then send 1 or 2 angels (NOT at the same time and wait a bit in between) to shave the fortress's life off bit by bit so that the boss isn't joined by 100+ enemies

I got a strategy to win 16-17 levels, without depopulizing Shire. Only works with Orcs and takes much time, but it's fun. Start as every other game, upgrade, then just wait. They'll send harder units as time goes, defend it with arrow tower, specials and 1-2 Beast Riders, if you think you'll be overrun. After a while, they'll send 2 or 3 waves of all races' riders and protectors, defend it with 6-8 Beast Riders, but let them die as you hold the wave off. If you succeed, they'll just send hobbits, bombermen, and weak units like archers and squires. At this time, start spamming totem, but nothing else. Totem's can't aim properly, so they won't be able to push by themselves. Protect them with arrows but try not to push, and spam more, like 300 of those. You can spawn 96 totems with a full mana bar; when it goes empty, wait for it to recharge. after 300, send a cerberus, and an angel. You'll kill the boss even before it marches to your arrow range. Repeat the message to save Hobbits.
