Each mana level-up increases your current maximum 1.3 times.
To effectively level up your mana bar pay regard to the limits you should have passed certain limits. I found it to be annoying, when you upgrade mana to 9500 and have to wait for the mana bar to refill. Better upgrade one/some of the buildings to pass over one of the limits. Those limits are as follows (I only write down the ones above 2k mana):

So when did the Lord Of Hell get his Ranged Absorption perk too? Nearly all these comments about that level are invalid because ranged and magic attacks heal him. Yet trying to win just using "U" units and Titans doesn't work....

The enemies are able to spam wayyy too much compared to you.. i can get like 1 knight and 2 clerics and he already has like 40 archers and 5 knights that instantly mow down all of my stuff

i wanna point out, that if u hold "A" and than proceed to type in a chat room, you can auto fire arrows without holding a down

i could literally explain the trick for any level or upgrades order to beat the game without farming.
Pro-tip: While fighting The End, spam him with hobbits and send titans and totem/wizard/dryad. also move the arrows upwards instead of down so the elemental arrows slash through him multiple times instead of just once, works like a gem.

ps: dont repeat the unlockable units comment, it has so many likes it has practically been stickied in its position on the best comments list. Even back when i first played this in 2012 (came back for nostalgia) it was there.

It took me so long to beat the level with 'the end' boss on a hacked version lol. Imagine fighting the guy in a non hacked version (._.)

the grind level is level 6
at 140 mana send nothing but hobbits and you have to kill the units with your arrows and it will be too overwelming for the enemy in less than a couple minutes

In every other game, the boss music plays when your enemy is about to go all out. In this game, the boss music plays for you when you go all out. I love that.

*spends 10 minutes killing enemy with nothing but arrows while upgrading mana* sends MASSIVE wave of death... enemy repels with 100's of units I've Never seen due to lack of upgrades. OK...

game is amazing, love the mana system way more than the card epic war 3-5, just hate how buggy the arrow tower can be, literally causes me to lose some missions as I cant use unlimited arrow special, hope its fixed soon

Tip for people who haven't done the math: You need 1:1.3 (because we need to get the opposite of +30%) which is about 0.769, then you need to multiply that with 9999 for the answer of how much mana you need to get to 9999. Which is about 7691.5 so if you have a number just lower than that, I advise ou to upgrade a tower.

There is a fun strategy with the first two boss levels, where you use elves, and after you upgrade everything, you let only one, just one hobbit which was on a lower ground pass to your castle and after it starts to hit the castle you start to spam both phantom archers and hunters but nothing else. The archers won't be able to hit the hobbit below your castle, and the hobbit only hits for 12 damage. When the castle health is below 3k (to be safe from enemy angels), just send tanky units (Guardian, Angel, Dragon...) and watch the show
