At first this game seems absolutely impossible lol, but with the right tactics you can (and probably will) beat the game. Even the cave of trials stages can be beaten pretty easily, despite what the massive rush of monsters and occasional titan seem to suggest. The one problem i have with this franchise is that it hasn't continued lol, though the sixth one was pretty bad from what i remember.

Rudy, this is the best game in our entire series of Epic War.
I played and finished (probably) each one but this one is m best so far.
Thank you, I haven't played something good for a long time!!!

i love it when everything comes together to make a giant clash of both sides and you cant tell if youre winning or losing but you dont care

This is by far my favorite epic war game. I love how its more of a multi person map where you take over each terrotory instead of selecting a level.

Use phoenix as soon as you can and at that point you should be able to fend off the waves of units, then when you have all your units kill the titan (use retreat/advance commands to dodge attacks if needed). Then do the usual strategy for castle. Note on trial 4 you will NEED to pull back after the 2nd counter wave spawns (preferably the 1st) since every counter wave has a titan. There is a separate strategy for trial 5.

I understand the revenge wave concept and agree that it is fair but calling in four of the same titan on one revenge wave is kind of going overboard......

THIS IS IMPORTANT! The recipe to win cave 5, you have to choose the green general. the troops: Centaurs, Succubus, Mermaids, Witches, goblins and the black knight. Spells: Athena, Phoenix, Hercules, Comet and Healing spell. In cave 5, wait until all troops are loaded, then attack with the troops, NOT the spells. When the transparent goblin attack, give him a lightining bolt and keep pressing foward so the troops will be attacking the castle and keeping the goblin paralized. THE GOBLIN NEVER DIE! to kill him, destroy the castle.

Oh how I miss this game when I was younger. Best part is how your hero will do their 10-second sword animation before retreating xD

For campaign it is goblins, phantom armour, centaur archers, succubus, black riders and magic cannon, and comet shot, phoenix, Hercules' strength and athena's protection (you can use any other spell if you have the points). For Cave of trials, its the same loadout but with rain of arrows/ice trap and heal spell too (for convenience more than anything).

A fun tactic that got me through every single game except the last hero and CoT 2-5 (Haven't finished game or tried the other CoT's yet): A high hp melee unit of each colour and as much damage as you can muster from the rangers. Send 'em all in, make sure you have either lightning bolt or ice (fireball works as well but takes more time) use these on the first revenge wave to clear em all out then use the invincibility card and just spam the forward button if there're succubi pushing your units back...
The aim is to kill the castle, not the revenge wave. My preferred units: Dragon Rider, Black Knight and Yeti/Fire Titan matched with Succubi, Mermaids and Centaurs. I'll probably switch centaurs for witches when I get them, but I still haven't found them -_-

Some tips for cave of trial 4: Used ranged units, and goblins to occupy the titans while your ranged attacks + spells chip away at their health. Trick is to draw out titans ones by one by doing small increments of damage to the base. I waited for Hercules + Phoenix to wipe out the titans. Then mount a massive attack with max population + Hercules + Phoenix + Athena's Protection (half health or less on opponent's base).
This was done without all units. (Viegraff + Dwarf+ Goblins+ Centaur+ Succubi+ Dragon Rider + Cannon [good for area attack] + Comet + Phoenix + Hercules + Athena)

Ok...first Hard badge done. This is one of the few games that I think completely deserves to be on a Best Of medal. 10/5

tip for phoenix: it speeds up the longer it is out so if the enemy is closer to the base, then it will hit the enemy more times.

good way to get rid of the enemy commander from the start is to taunt him with a comet: he will come rushing to you: just slaughter him.

i like this game but i wsh there was an option for every time a new soldier comes out for them to automatically charge!! Other than that 5 stars

@Dragon: That tactic is only helpful for the first time you play and even then only for the first few battles. After that the hero and the enemies waiting are irrelevant, it's the revenge waves that are the hard bit to deal with.
