the best way to win is to let your hero defend the castle if he is too low let your big guys or the tanks to handle the enemy and once he is all healed up use your long ranged spell to draw out the enemy hero and once he is dead its time to charge!

Tip: Once you unlock New Game Plus you don't have to complete the game every time on a new hero to unlock the units, you just need to unlock all their units by levelling them up, then you can save and do New Game Plus.

nice :D, beat cave 5 before all others thanks to this thread: here are the must haves to beat Cave 5.Spells:Athena, Phoenix, Hercules, Comet and Healing spell. Troops: Centaurs, Succubus, Mermaids, Witches, goblins and the black knight keep this commnet alive by copy pasting it but since I had Grullborg Grimtooth I had enough mana to replace goblins and black knights by frost giant and dragon rider + i had the lightning bolt card extra it worked out just fine^^

Tip: Phoenix Strike gets lot more stronger when used with Hercule's Strenght card, just time hercules right and then look when your phoenix does double damage! i tested it with fully upraged phoenix (2000 power) and the results were really powerfull, it just wiped out every enemy unit (expect titans)

This is a fun comcept and the game is okay but serieusly the controls are terrbile i kept flying to the other side of the screen or i couldn't even move at all. Like i said fun game but the controls could be waaaaaaaaay better.

You sir or madam. Yes, you! ever tired of having to cut through endless amount of units to finally reach the other side only to see a full-healthed leader in the way of the castle and easily dispatches several of your soldiers or maybe even you all while still having enemies flood towards you? If this is you, I have a solution! Get any time of long ranged attack spell ( I normally prefer the comet since it is a starting spell normally) and cast it over the enemy leader. The damage will activate this unit charging past the enemies to attack you. Now simply hang back and attack him before your leader is actually attacked by any other tough minion. Just completed the whole game... Very fun and you should always try to equip yourself with the best. I found that arrows and comets were the most important spells

Hands down the best Epic War game they made. I still come back year after year to play this. To bad the series went to shit.

Great game! Cave of Trials 5 was more than a bit underwhelming after the first 4 though :( I beat it and it was easier than some of the regular fights for castles.
