I hate if the hero is the target for losing a mission,if the enemy is strong booom! the hero is one hit by a single attack. Its more fun if building is target for losing not that weak damn hero.

Seriously needs a bar ( like the units bar ) for keeping spells for quick use, its a headache clicking the unit and then the spell, like if I need to use a spell over and over again. ( + ) if you agree

the end of hope is the easiest just use goblins hobbits vampires optional then use elf hunters and dwarven gunners she doesnt heal much and is bombarded by almost 80 troops virtually constant damage stream and combined with rage she drops like a sackof rocks no challenge at all

Trial 5 (The End of Hope):
End of Hope is a lone Amazon Warrior who deals massive damage and heals herself with every attack proportionally to the health of what she’s hitting.
Damage: Dwarf Engineers and Elf Hunters work best, Vampires are also okay. Casters have too low pop and Centaurs tend to shoot over her head if you don’t place them right. If you’re using huge units, make sure they stay outside of her attack range (Dragon/Iron Fortress/Angel). If you let her hit any large unit, she’ll just heal faster than you can damage.
Tanking: Hobbits and Goblins (and Vampires maybe), You’ll want a lot of them and you’ll want a constant stream of them constantly keeping the End of Hope in place.

Yeah I agree with the Best commenters, each subsequent version has felt less 'epic' since 3, and due to how experience and powering up works now you feel a whole lot weaker. I do wish the queen had been in a previous one because her dive is a very nice attack, would cleave through weaklings like phantoms and goblins and the like very fast, + has a long enough range to hit some projectile users. Anyway it feels like everyone is a lot weaker since they only have 1-3 boosts to attack/hp instead of 4 all-around upgrades, and the fact spells are now tied to units may mean technically you MIGHT field more spells, but selection and timing is now more of a hassle, and they can't be upgraded either. Overall everything is a step back. More buildings is a nice touch but the old ones feel weakened as well.

it really pisses me off when i've spent 10 minutes on a fight and i press >> and my idiot rushes in and gets killed...

i was doing the power goblin level and i saw the huge guys holding bombs and was like oh crap... and then i realized the "power goblin" was a little goblin in a jumpsuit LOL

Wish they'd put an Impossible badge: Complete all levels as all 3 characters. I already finished with the Demon Lady, left the Human guy(working on it) and the Undead guy(next). :)

It's nice to see units holding still for once instead of continually advancing forward despite your orders to stay in place.

The only time i find use for my hero(Skull knight) in the last stages. Is when i finished the game and have the accesories that give him "Skills" . Nice but i would suggest that you could give your hero 2 or 3 slots for accesories so that i can also have a use of him early on. It would boost him so effectively with more slots. It might give him a chance to fight when i got the omega seal and somme hp boost for him.

Alright... Since I haven't seen a Guide for the Trials yet, I'll write them in the order I did them and my strategies for them. While I'm not sure it's needed, and I cannot guarantee success with my methods... Here we go: Trial 3: Use a few titans, such as golems and a white tiger, some smaller units such as paladins and vampires and some ranged units such as witches and succubi. I used archers in favour of vampires. Lure the Lords forward one at a time, with meteors once the giant building is destroyed and your units are nearby. Rinse and repeat. Bombard the Lords with meteors or use regen on your titans if necessary. Trial 2: Trial of Endurance, if nothing else. Turn speed up to X3 if you don't normally play on this. Swarm some ranged units and titans, if any. Have all your units except you hero go forward. Go do something else for a while.

Some tips:
1)use walls/titans to slow down/block bosses and use long range units like centurion, archers..etc for damage
2)use spells to clear up groups of enemy minions (especially long range ones)
3)use meteor lvl 2 spell on bosses/walls, better yet use it when groups of minions r close to it.
4)use Heal ALL lvl 5 ("divine angel" yes it's a titan) to heal ur titans in trial stages.
5) Do level 10 repeatedly to gain skill points and unlock skills for new units.
6)White tiger with omega seals seems to be good combo
7) get multiple super robo suits from trial 5 i think..and equip them with golem/black dragon or other high hp titans to make them super hard to kill.
8)For trial stages, there are 2 basic strategies: titans for damage with little hobbits/goblins/bombers spams to slow down bosses (works well on Trial 3) OR titans/walls/castles to slow down bosses with long range units for damages (works well on Trial 5 End of Hope).
Hope that helps!

Maybe after beating the main quest your character gets a big health bonus for becoming immortal, that might help with the problem of keeping your leader at the back and hope you don't forget to put them back at the start after moving up the rest of your men.

In my opinion, the #1 thing that makes this better then Epic War 3 or 4, is that when you give your troops an order to go to a certain place, they go there, and they effing STAY there. I can't tell you how many damn strategies were ruined by strategically placed units (Like ranged units providing suppressing fire so that melee units could hammer a castle) wandering off into the fight because they got a taste of glory and forgot where they were supposed to stand. That's about the only reason I like this more than EW 3 and 4 - not having to babysit is great. However, it is a little vexing that I can't place ranged units any closer than their maximum range from the enemy - the only way to do this is to push the enemy back, place the ranged units, then allow the enemy to advance again. That strategy is mostly useful for besieging walls or bosses, where pushing the enemy back is not feasible.

So from what I can tell, it says there are 27 units. I already have 29. I also have 28/30 items, but I still still don't have the units achievement. Anyone got some advise?

I think this game should be online also so you get stuff like during christmas you fight santa and the backround changes , and he should have elves and there should be something for Halloween and a Halloween backround

Now that someone mentioned it, I do notice the larger units (bosses) do look blown up and less sharp than the smaller ones.
