Seriously the whole having your hero die means you lose aspect of the game really kills the fun of using your hero. Other than that 5/5

I wish there was some form of Global Exp Upgrade Menu... using the xp gathered by ALL of your units you could choose upgrades that would benefit everything as a whole or just your hero. Would be a nice way to get rid of that extra xp late game.

i like how we gain units but it whould be better if we could buy upgraded versions if we wanted to so people have a choice in what they want (the upgraded type whould have seperate upgrades)
and the heroes should be better in the later levels, which could be fixed with being able to buy the next "level" that has several general upgrades and the upgrades themselves whould just be a way to focus on damage or health

I feel like its missing a general upgrading tree, for things like mana max o regen, units spawn time, or even building lvl up, it would be nice if I could upgrade the fortress so the hero could get inside it, and another upgrade to place an arrow turret on it so the hero could shoot while his inside, so you could if he must join a close combat fight or keep the distance( and being somehow useful in extra and trial stages)

Your upgrade tree is a really random. It would be better if health upgrades led to other health related upgrades and attack led to attack and so on. Right now it's no different from leveling up the old way. Also if the tree was organized so I could see what kind of unit I'm getting at the end of the road that would be nice.

So i saw d_swabey's comment somewhere at the top, and as i read it, I completely agreed. Right after that I refreshed my memory on the other 4 EW titles (trough a little playing of course) and There is definitely great deal of artistic improvement going on, no doubt. That being said the EW5 game does look a lot unfinished. I'm talking about the pixelated subbosses made by blowing up the regular beasts, about the inconvenient formation menu and the not-really-fitting-into-style yellow font.

Nice game, as we get used to, especially the accesories concept is great for tactic varieties.
But besides that, something is missing: the timer, which shows how much time the casted spells last on your units.

and also the dang iron fortress takes to freaking long to kill really the people who made this game really should have made it shorter

i will tell you an easy (but relatively long) way of beating cave of trials 4 if you need it. get black dragon (does not have to be upgraded) and put whatever item you want on him. Get vampire with regen spell or hero with regen spell and any other units you want (like white tiger for dealing with enemies behind the dude) and start the level. Wait till you have 100 mana then send your black dragon in front of the angel. send another unit to trigger the black tiger and wait for it. use regen spell after he hits you at least twice, then keep using the regen spell each time you get 100 mana again. dont use mana for anything else but if you want you can

castle is nearly useless hobbits just sit there for a ranged unit to kill them and an altar heals and a wall wastes your enemy's time both are much cheaper

Trial 5 (The End of Hope):
End of Hope is a lone Amazon Warrior who deals massive damage and heals herself with every attack proportionally to the health of what she’s hitting.
Damage: Dwarf Engineers and Elf Hunters work best, Vampires are also okay. Casters have too low pop and Centaurs tend to shoot over her head if you don’t place them right. If you’re using huge units, make sure they stay outside of her attack range (Dragon/Iron Fortress/Angel). If you let her hit any large unit, she’ll just heal faster than you can damage.
Tanking: Hobbits and Goblins (and Vampires maybe), You’ll want a lot of them and you’ll want a constant stream of them constantly keeping the End of Hope in place.

trial 4 Damage: It’s weak to slash, Make sure you bring Amazons (they are for stalling but might hit before dying) and Death (main Damage Dealer) at it. Also, since it leaps far ahead to attack, Elf Rangers can both stall with high pop and damage it when something else causes it to attack.
Tanking: Nothing tanks it for very long yet, Golems will reach it just in time for one attack on higher upgrades and respawn well once it nears your edge but make sure you always make Death wear Strike Ring (or it will die) and buff it with something whenever it fights. Death is your main Damage dealer here. On an interesting note, I managed to stalemate the Beast so that his leap brings him just into range of the Power Goblins without them getting damaged, the Power Goblins are pathetic compared to when they fought you, but DPS is DPS.

use ranged units on colossus and when he gets close make the units move back slightly and also if you have unlocked the king of hell do the same with him. set up goblins coz they slow him down alot. keeps this up if you find it usefull.

Stage 5 is a piece of cake, just use the vampire to reheal and a lot of golems and that´s it...dragon,angel,phoenix,golem and earth dragon should worl, equip them with slash ring.
Stage 4 is the hardest for me... use Slash ring also in all units. (remember that in extra 2 the reward is the ring)

how to beat collosus:step 1,get a flaming chariot from trial 4,step 2,equip it on goblin,equip goblin,step 3,make every unit except goblin a range attacker. the reason why flaming chariot with goblin is:it gives them a massive speed boost,thus running to collosus before he moves on,which results in him killing them,but not moving. reward = lamia(snake thing) ice rune(not that useful)

For the king of beats when the king comes real close to ur hero like ur units have not much space to run away too, make ur hero attack the king and always use ur heros heal move and keep doing it untill the king dies i think this only works with viegraf though i havent used the other :/
