Some levels were irritating, but there is a strategy to beat every single trial...biggest problem with what you're going for here Rudy is the hero is totally useless. He isn't even strong enough to be involved in all the normal campaign battles, let alone the trials. He doesn't need to be a Titan, but some staying power would be nice, since as is hes completely useless. He doesn't even need to be close to the fight since spells have no distance limits. Other than that, great game, I know there is a lot of debate over if the new directions you take each game are good or bad, but personally, I like how you try to do at least one thing different with each new version.

This game was really disappointing in its difficulty. Way too easy, I beat everything but the colossus on my first try, and then just switching out for all ranged and goblins killed that the next time. One of the things I've enjoyed about all the other Epic Wars were how difficult they were for me to beat.

Deep666 just retreat all your units until the fortress is further away from the end, those cannonballs won't appear anymore.

for all the trials 2-4 all you need is black dragon with vampires, golblins, archers, scrummbus, and elderly wizard and equip ur black dragon with omega seal and cast regeration all the time and ur black dragon never dies and takes all the damage as ur other units attack the boss none stop

What a heck is on the end of trial 2? i get an atack with white tiger and when it back huges cannos balls apear! like 30! and my angel too.

Glitch... i beat the third trial and it gave me the acheivment for killing the goblin rangers and gave me the iron fortress yet i havnt even fought it yet XD

the rounds with bombers u need Vampire warriors. Really huh? I used centuar archers instead and the bombers soulside lol.

talamare, you could just beat the third trial and equip your hero with the turtle shield and have a army of epics. he won't die as easy. :P

just saying if you can beat the 3rd trial and get the turtle shield and have a army of epics, not the normal units, then your hero can actually fight, instead of feeling like he IS the castle or monument or something that can't be destroyed, like in the first epic war. :)

Just finished the game, it isn't that hard, simply analyze.
Trial 1: 2 slots for melee spam (goblin + engineer) to prevent him from progressing and mass ranged units. The secret is to attack move, since he's a slow mover. This means that while he's attacking melee you hit with ranged. When he kills them all, send ranged back until you have a fair distance to attack again. Combine with rage.
T2: Mass avatar w/ ring of magic. use shield.
T3: Luck involved, the key is having avatar between his sword and himself (there's an open space). Should you do that, that unit becomes invulnerable and you can kill. I used archer and avatar combined with shield.
T4: Farm ring of strike. Charge (not hero). When he pushes you back to base, only use mana to heal hero (can almost regen mana between heals) and you'll eventually kill him, since you're pushing him back. Use avatars.
Trial 5: farm ring of slash, have iron fortress and earth dragon tank w/ the rest as dps. Use shield.

make the meter for how fast it will go on the actual gameplay screen, and please add x2, x5, and x5-x10. trying to farm a certain item like the turtle shield can get annoying. :) just feedback for the awesome game

there should be a spell for golem to make it move faster, or even an upgrade, It dies so many times for me when I'm trying to retreat

I honestly think the Epic War games have gone down in quality. I liked the aspect of shooting arrows and sending troops, that way you lose if they make it to you. Whereas now, the only unit that can survive the bosses, and dies pretty easily, is your source of power, victory, and loss. I don't like it, and these games should go back to how they used to be.

i thought the game was easy.....then i made it to the first trial...I did at least 50000 points to that colossus and i thought i saw a pixel drop off of the health bar! Someone tell me how you're expected to fight these things!

love how i get really far in the game and have 26 units unlocked... dont play 1 day... and come back to find out my progress is gone

every unit should have a big health upgrade like a +5000 hp upgrade after u beat the extra stages and a way bigger attack and you should be able to upgrade the amount of buildings you can have and you should be able to cahnge the units in front of the castle cas wat are those puny little units going to do against the last hope trial + if this should happen

Can I just take a minute to say I hate the spell system? I don't mind that individual units get access to different things, I suppose that can add to the strategy of building your army. I wonder, though, why we can't just have one list of spells and abilities that combines all the units together? Of course, this situation just sums up the rest of the user interface, including equipping and upgrading. I suppose, if I were to sum up the game's screens and menus, my one word would be "clunky."

Most annoying thing is when you retreat with z, then attack with x, and forget that your hero charges with them, then next you know you die. Nobody uses the hero in later levels - make a hot key for it to charge separately.

it would be better if the upgrades had a visual effect i.e. health upgrades would add armor and attack upgrades would make youre weapons look better, not bigger just better, i know you sometimes find it difficult to see the difference lol
