This is not a promising start to a game: a depressing 13-second music loop that glitches as it repeats, with no mute button, while you want me to read six pages of instructions. It's like you've invited me to a party but you're making me stand on the doorstep in the rain while I read the house rules and, all the while, the website header is telling me that there are another 79,453 parties I could be at instead of yours. OK, so finally I'm into the party. I mean game. And now I find that almost the entire control-set left-handed. Seriously, dudes? Around 90% of people on the planet are right-handed. So why are all the controls on the left? Woot, battle 2! My score is 25% better than perfect (somebody doesn't quite get the concept of "perfect", do they?). I think there are better ways to spend my Saturday afternoon.

sorry for double comment, but i have another piece of advice. to keep track of your mana pool just look at how much the mana growth spell costs. im only on level 13 now but when it costs 3000 or over i let it fill up and begin my attack.

to get arrows to auto fire hold down a,s,d, and f then just click off the screen. click back on the screen to continue doing other stuff while the arrows auto fire. To stop the arrows just press a,s,d, and f.

There are 7 unit types you can use and 15 levels. For additional challenge:
try only letting yourself use new units every 3 levels.
Level 1 and 2 with just Hobbits
Level 3 and 4 with just Hobbits and Elves
Level 5 and 6 with just Hobbits, Elves, and Dwarves
Level 7 and 8 with "Full Fellowship" (Hobbits - Wizards)
Level 9 and 10 with Golems
Level 11 and 12 with Dragons
Level 13 and 14 with Angels
Right now I'm using Angels on level 11? I think this would be really difficult to follow starting at level 8! Centaurs and Fire Devils are kind of tough even with Arrow Towers. Oh, and limit yourself to only leveling the Arrows up to L.2 Ice or Thunder, L. 3 or 4 Fire, and L3. Normal Arrows!!!!
Level up your units as high as you can before buying new units.

What I love most about this game is that it teaches itself to you =)
The War becomes not a Quest of Conquest, but a Desperate Fight to Survive. When you get Desperate, you get Smart, and you learn almost all the tricks you need to know. The only little thing I'd mention is the Arrow Gitch, but as the game is such an Old Classic, I will assume everyone knows how to do it. If you don't, when you figure it out you will LOVE it. ^_^

It's a piece of cake with this technic :
-start by upgrading your arrows first, then mana upgrade (the three), then hobbit, dragon, and angel. After that do like you want.
-When starting a level, press the A and R keys then click outside then inside the game screen, you will start to upgrade your mana pool and shoot arrows automatically.
-wait till your mana pool is big enough and spam hobbits for the first 7/8 levels then do the same but wait for having enough mana for dragon and angel and spam hobbit with them.
-You will win easily

So the best way to get experience is to NOT win levels quickly. You only get exp for killing enemy units, so if you can control the flow of the battle, drag it out.
