I dont like turn games myself but with the level up system and wepons and it being a flash and in 3d ill give it a 5 out of a 5 shit it makes up for it being a turn game XD

Excellent! Different enemies which need different strategies to kill them. Different weapons that make you think if you HAVE to upgrade them all. Great balance in gameplay (although maybe a bit too easy)
Things i missed:
- Skip enemy move (especially last level)
- Show AP cost for in game actions (when hovering with mouse) for attack, defend, door open/close and stimgun/medipack so i can better plan ahead.
- Better visual difference between ammo and credit crates (may be my monitor though)
- View mission objectives while in game
That said: PLEASE make more games like these. I love the engine, gameplay and atmosphere!
Good job!

i think that once you buy a gun for one of your guys, it should STAY bought, so that u dont waste credits switching back from sniper rifle to bayonet

"enemys are almost limitless on this map, try to blow up the exits asap!" I THINK NOT! time to set my stabby guys to stabbin, free endless exp!

The game is great fun. Saying that straight up. Its well designed, the units are unique, the graphics are good, I dont care what the inspiration is, you made a great product. Problems are fixable. First off, the game is easy. Not a little easy. Not mildly difficult. This is tutorial level simple easy. Second off, being able to skip enemy animations would be lovely. Third off... make something to do after the storyline! The game is short. Some sort of survival mode/level editor/replay missions, etc. I want to keep playing. Mostly, I want to keep playing until it gets hard. The game is certainly a 4/5, but I feel like you have much more potential than you have tapped.

Seriously, why not have the option to replay a previous level? Farm xp and credits...
Still, fun and easy.
4/5 for not having a "skip enemy turn" button.

Indeed I have Incubus yet... even in its original box. And yes, I can say this 3D flash game is a superb adaptation of Incubus. Rated 4/5, but it could be 5/5 if you review these details: 1) I miss harder enemies. Do you remember... i.e. what about that giant boss with its tentacles? 2) I miss longer battles, with longer shootouts. 3) I miss rotate the soldier. In Incubus, suffering an attack from behind is lethal, so it is important to rotate properly the soldier at the end of their movement. That gives more tactical depth. 4) I miss weapons with 2 shooting modes. 5) Why I can not see the statistics of a soldier without AP? 6) Why do I have to pay again every time I choose a weapon previously paid? (this is minor problem because the game is full of credits). 7) Too easy to gain experience (all my soldiers reached level 8 during 8th mission. 8) I miss some other small details, but so far would be sufficient to achieve 5 stars. I must congratulate you, but there is still work to do.

okay.. It would be pretty unfair to give it anything but five.. but I wont rate that until you solve the speedup somehow. On levels with many longranged mobs and much more ground things it takes minutes til my turn.. that's just annoying..
Please update it with a speedup somehow (enemy only or speeded animations or even skiped animations but I think that would be the hardest)
Some mouseover help would be nice too, but thats just for the 6points rate :)
other then that, well done!!

The final level, the survive to round 20, is only difficult if you are pressed for time. The map is so stupidly easy you literally just have to sit in a corner and stab the mobs as they come in.

I may be good at strategy games... but this game was not hard like some people are saying it is. Fun! Just use bayonet's if you're out of ammo, station a guy caddy-corner to an opening with a bayonet, and have him defend, he'll kill all the critters that come out!

need way to go back and replay levels or somthing to get cash because I can't get the grenade launcher because I only have 150 cash and can't get more

there are a melee attack with the assault gun i think that's the name... always hits! useful if u need to kill a lotsa rats:)

A random map generator might be a good idea considering how many people want more levels! :) Like Freecell, a number like 23.743 generates a unique dungeon .. to see if every dungeon is beatable.

I had a lot of fun playing the game. A few suggestions. 1. It would be great if the game had line of sight incorporated into the maps. That way, the player would have to explore the map to see where the enemy was and how to defeat the board. 2. The bayonet was awesome but it made the game too easy. 3. Defense should use up AP. A soldier can use a defensive stance for as many times as needed without any negatives to their movement on the next turn.

thank you for bringing back one of my all time favourite games!
remarkable graphics and the best soundtrack / sounddesign i have seen in a browser game so far. some suggestions for the sequel: dont stick too close to the original, implement your own ideas and maybe connect the missions with a stronger storyline. also i dont think you need to keep the paze of the original, a little speeding up of the enemy turns would be nice. and i would love to see a more challenging difficulty for us incubation veterans :)

Indeed, a great game ! One of the best I've ever played - wished someone made a XenoSquad II or other games simmilar to XenoSquad . Dont increase the difficulty, just add more levels, different Xeno types of soldiers and maybe other types of guns too. Oh, and while you are at it, would be nice if ... once you bought a weapon, to stay that way and be able to switch either before the missions OR ... why not, during the missions you are on ( wouldn't that be cool ? ).
As anothe xeno squad unit, I would recommend a 'humvee' type transport unit, where all 4 Xenos can go in. While the Transport uses AP, the xeno soldiers don't ... Another use for that could be reinforced defenses against range + storage capability in the 'humvee' for other weapons for each Xeno soldiers, that where previously bought .

Good game! The animations do get annoying fast though, you should allow us to skip them. Also try to make the game more difficult. For instance, spawning points could start spawning stronger creatures over time.

Am I missing something, or is there really no way to see the distance an enemy can travel and the range of it's attack? That kind of info would really help, instead of having to replay a level once or twice just to figure it out. I wouldn't mind, but the game goes SO SLOW.

Looking forward to see another thrilling and exciting sequel or a new game from you. Keep the good work flowing! Definately deserves a 5/5! :D

Great game, I love tactical RPGs, this one is quite... exploitable though :P More than usually. Defend is such an OP command.
And DAMN the graphics are just... O.o

you sir...have amazed me not once....but twice...not only is it 3d....but in flash player and not unity web player. awesome!

Really great game but two suggestions.
-Marines get too powerful too fast, more variety of enemies would have made it possible to increase the challenge
-Different classes with different available weapons and starting stats would've been cool, like with the heavy but expand on that concept.
