This is a fun turn-based strategy game that avoids most of the pitfalls other games into the genre fall into (i.e. no unit leveling mcromanagement, manageable and balanced level design, and a great game system).

Add an AI ALY!it would be useful and then bothersome to have it where you call in as reinforcements if you go down to only 1 squad member or to pay a large sum of cash to call them in for a single round.Thumbs up so developer can see!

10mission is very EASY!!!! just only maxed level with Magnus, grenade launcher and shoot shoot shoot... in 2 turn i win....

good graphics and very nice system, but it is far too easy... bayonet is too powerful and most of the creatures cant fire... it could be a very great game with more testing...

Was fun. But way too easy. Enemies need to be harder with more ranged units. Final level extremely easy and needed more giant monsters.

Needs a "skip to end" button. Waiting on the enemy is long and boring. Also, no save game?? Reloaded and lost all progress. Spelling/grammar errors, but otherwise okay game. 3/5

I was quite fascinated with this game start to finish. Very well made. I finished with all marines maxed out. Two with sniper rifles, two with assault rifles, and the heavy with the grenade launcher. Tips - Farming all the mobs for experience is good. Make sure to give all marines kills so they all get experience. Don't miss any credit boxes. spawn points can be blocked by on marine with a bayonet or by parking a marine on each spot where the mob pops out. Bayonets are great for conserving ammo. Save credits for assault rifles and/or sniper rifles and definitely for the grenade launcher. Don't waste credits on the standard rifle. Again, awesome game, hope to see a sequel or additional levels! Keep up the good work. :D

Didn't mind ammo so much, as it makes you consider how to navigate the level and thus adds a strategic element, but the overheating thing is just downright annoying, and slows the game down.

To Pumpkinboy - use the defensive stance to keep spawn areas clear to move another unit into melee range and camp the spawn points until you can get your heavy unit in to clear the hole. using two units to camp spawn points and two mobile units for range will keep mobs under control. after your first two sapwn points are destroyed you can switch out which units are using melee so you should never have to worry about ammo.

In the level where you have to destroy the "spawners", if you equip your dudes (except for the heavy) with bayonets and position them next to the spawner (base camping lol) they can easily kill all the fresh monsters, making it probably (i got bored, so just destroyed the things) very easy to gather xp and level up.

Wasn't the last level supposed to have a huge amount of the big monsters according to the briefing? I ended up camping the spawns with meele and pretty boring last ~14 turns

reminds me of X-COM, one of my favorite games all time. I gave this game a 5 because it's well done. could use a few features but good on its own:
1. ability to walk through team members if you have enough ap
2. fog of war for enemy units (I know where they are, they know where I am. needs mystery)
3. larger maps

This game is one of the best on Kongregate. Even if you don't care for this type of game you have to marvel at the graphics alone. Easily the best looking game I've seen in Flash and on Kongregate. 5/5 and favorited!

I found the difficulty of the game dropping in the last 3 or four levels. A spawninghatch can be blocked by a trooper with a bayonet, and the big monsters are easily killed by three grenades.
I think the old Incubation had more enemy units like ghosts or something like that.
I like your game, but there is plenty of room for improvement.
